Proverbs 10:4 “ Na lazy hand go make pesin beg, but pesin wey dey work hard go get plenty money.

 

To dey industrious mean say person dey work hard and no dey give up. Na person wey dey put effort for the work wey e dey do to push am well. 

Genesis 2:15 talk say na man only God make to dey hardworking and find better life for im. 

God talk say anybody wey no want work no go chop, but God go bless people wey dey work hard. 

Work! Honest work! It be like say these words dey slowly disappear for society. Some people treat work like curse, others talk say na work other people suppose do. 

But for Genesis 3:19, God talk say na by sweat (hard work, but honest labour) we go chop. 

No shortcut to success or wealth. You get to work make your plan or idea bring fruit. 

Many people for Bible get business or work, including Jesus for Mark 6:3. 

Some people go talk say na men get work, but I go show you Rachel, Mrs Jacob, na first hardworking woman Bible talk about. For Genesis 29:9-11, she be shepherd wey dey lead her papa sheep. 

Mrs Zipporah, Moses wife, too dey hardworking. Exodus 2:16-19 talk say she and her sisters dey bring water for their papa sheep, and Exodus 4:24-26 show say she circumcise her son herself like doctor. 

To dey industrious no mean say na only for job and career, e fit be anything. Ecclesiastes 9:10 talk say anything you fit do, make you do am well-well. Colossians 3:17 add say make we do everything as we dey do am for God, which we always suppose do. 

You fit do hardwork for anything you dey do—spiritual work, manual work, court work, house work, market work, anything. Romans 12:11 tell us to work hard with energy and make God shine through our work and our life. 

Proverbs 6:6-8 use ant show how hardwork dey be. Animal dem no get work or higher rank but dem no dey hungry. Man dey get pay from work based on time, handwork, and idea as we see for Romans 4:4, and Luke 10:7. But before you go get pay, you get to first do the work. 

Wetin you get from your work na the profit of your time and hand work as Proverbs 14:23 talk. 

You dey get good benefit from wetin you dey do or you dey wait for handout from family, friends, or government? 

Even Paul for 1 Corinthians 9:11 sabi say ministry get work, but e still do tent-making business for Acts 18:1-4, e work with im hands, e no dey depend on peeple. 

The Apostles dem run business like fishing too. Matthew na tax man wey dey do im own business. Luke na doctor. Lydia run business for Acts 16:14-15, 40. 

No dey lazy, no dey sleep, make you work hard as Proverbs 20:13. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

- How hard I dey work for wetin God give me to do? 

- How I fit take do my work and spiritual life with better diligence? 

- I dey wait on person or I dey use my hand and brain to reach my goal? 

- How I fit make God happy with my work today? 

PRAYER: Lord, help me to dey work hard and no lazy. Teach me to always do wetin you give me with faith and joy. May my hardwork bless me and others. In Jesus name, Amen.
