Matthew 23:2-5 “Jesus kon tell di pipol and en disciples sey, 2“Na di law tishas and Farisee pipol dey tok wetin Moses Law mean. 3So make una listin and do wetin dem dey tell una. But nor do wetin dem dey do, bikos dem nor dey do wetin dem dey tish. 4Dem dey put heavy load for pipol shoulder and dem nor ready to help dem.

5“All wetin dem dey do, na make pipol for si dem. Dem dey tie tins wey dem rite God word put for dia fore head and hand, so dat pipol go si dem.

 

Our mouth gats match wetin our body dey do! In short, make you dey do wetin you dey talk! Bible plenty with verse wey talk about dis thing. Whether na to dey try become better Christian, to dey honest for business matter, or to dey help others with wetin you get, everything na like wetin we sabi say: Treat other people as you want make dem treat you (Matthew 7:12). 

Everybody don hear say make dem dey do wetin dem dey preach, but for this our society, e no too dey happen. Even some Christians dey do opposite. Some reasons fit dey why people no dey live wetin dem dey talk, or to other people e be like say dem no dey live am well. 

Plenty people, join leaders for different area, dey talk wetin person get to do but dem no dey do am for themselves. Dem no dey practice wetin dem preach. No just dey talk correct things, show am for your life too! People go respect and trust you more if you dey act like how you take talk am. 

First, make we remember say not all wey dey call themselves Christians be true believers or follower of Christ. Jesus talk for Matthew 7:22 say some false believers go dey world, wey wan spoil gospel and make Christian witness no pure. 

Plenty times we dey talk one thing but mean another. We expect from others wetin we nor want give. People want make we dey check on dem, call dem, love dem, but dem no dey do the same for another. We sabi say we get to love everybody as Matthew 22:39 talk, but how far we dey do am? 

Jesus talk for Matthew verses 1-3 say, “Make una dey do wetin law teacher and Pharisee tell you, but nor do as dem dey do because dem no dey do wetin dem dey preach.” Like now, Pharisees take tell people obey God's law, but dem no dey follow am. Jesus want make we no just dey talk wetin dey right but dey show am for our action. 

Love na action word. If we love, we go dey act am well and follow Matthew 7:12, the golden rule: do wetin you want make others do to you. 

How many time you don help person, even sacrifice something for dem and dem nor thank you? Or maybe you no thank person too? 

Many Christians dey preach way wey e hard to live, but dem dey expect people to follow am. 

But as James 1:22 talk, make we dey do wetin we dey talk, no be only hear word. 

Our failure to live perfect life no mean make we stop to try, because na our target and message to live right. 

Romans 2:20-22 make us look well wetin the Christian life mean. As we dey grow for faith, our life suppose show wetin we believe. 

Make you dey practice wetin you preach! If you want person to care for you, start to care for dem! If you want them to call, start to call! If you want visitation, start to visit first! 

Maybe not everybody wey you dey meet go do the same for you, but remember say as Galatians 6:7 talk, anything wey you sow na wetin you go reap! 

Practice wetin you preach na Bible thing, for every area of life. Make we live well so that when we talk against bad people, dem go see our good work, come dey praise God for 1 Peter 2:12. Jesus teach say make we sincere—do wetin we dey talk and teach others the same! Practice wetin you preach!

- How often you dey check if your actions match your words? 

- Which areas for your life you find hard to practice wetin you dey preach? Why? 

- How you fit show your faith better through action and no be only talk? 

- Wetin you fit change now make your life better reflect wetin you teach? 

PRAYER: Father, I dey ask make my words and actions dey the same, make I no be hypocrite wey dey talk but no dey do, for Jesus name, amen.
