CHILD-FRIENDLY ARISE AND SHINE!
Memory Verse: Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
What is darkness?
Darkness isn’t just about
night-time. In the Bible, darkness can mean:
- Being confused
- Feeling sad or scared
- Not knowing God
- Doing things that hurt
others or ourselves.
But guess what? God doesn’t
want us to stay in the dark! He wants us to live in His light—full of love,
truth, and joy.
Jesus is the Light!
In Isaiah 9:2, the Bible
says people who were walking in darkness saw a great light. That light is
Jesus! He came to show us the way to God and help us live in His love.
Why do some people stay in
the dark?
Sometimes people:
- Feel like they’re not good
enough
- Think God doesn’t love
them
- Like doing things their
own way
But God is always calling us
to come into the light. He loves us no matter what and wants us to live in His
truth.
What does it mean to arise
and shine?
Arise means get up! Don’t
stay stuck in sadness, fear, or mistakes.
Shine means let God’s light
show through you! Be kind, loving, and full of joy so others can see Jesus in
you.
