CHILD-FRIENDLY THE BREVITY OF LIFE!
Job 5:26 TLB
You shall live a long, good life; like standing grain, you'll not be harvested until it's time!
Memory Verse: John 10:10 –
“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”
What Does “Brevity of Life”
Mean?
It means life is short. We
don’t live forever on earth, so we must choose to live well every day.
Some people just exist—they
wake up, go through the day, and sleep, but they don’t enjoy life or live with
purpose.
God wants us to live fully,
with joy, hope, and meaning!
The Bible talks about coming
to the grave in full age, like grain that is ready for harvest.
That means living a life
that is complete—spiritually, mentally, and physically—before going to be with
God.
Jesus came to give us
abundant life (John 10:10). That means life filled with love, peace, and
purpose.
Even when life is hard, we
can still choose to live with faith and joy.
What Does the Bible
Say?
- Psalm 91:16 – God promises
to satisfy us with long life.
- Psalm 90:10 – Life passes
quickly, so we must live wisely.
- Isaiah 46:3–4 – God
carries us from birth to old age.
- Proverbs 3:6 – In all your
ways, acknowledge Him.
Don’t Just Wait—Live
Now!
Some people say, “I’ll enjoy
life when I’m older,” or “when I reach my goal.” But life is happening
now!
Whether you’re young or old,
God wants you to live with purpose and joy today.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- What choices are you
making today to live your life fully?
- Have you ever felt bored
or stuck? What helped you feel alive again?
- How can you enjoy life now
while still working toward your future goals?
- What does living “to full
age” mean to you?
- How can God’s promises
help you enjoy every season of life?
PRAYER: Dear God, thank You
for the gift of life. Help me to live every day with joy, purpose, and love. I
don’t want to just exist—I want to live fully for You. May my life bring glory
to You in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
