CHILD-FRIENDLY EVIL RECRUITMENT!
Ephesians 5:11 (AMPC)
"Don’t take part in
doing wrong or hang out with people who do. Instead, live in a way that shows
what is right."_
God wants us to say no to
anything wrong—even when others try to get us to join in. This is called evil
recruitment. It happens when someone tries to get you to be mean, gossip,
fight, or leave someone out.
Sometimes, people say,
“Don’t talk to that person because I don’t like them.” That’s not God’s way.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33: "Bad friends can ruin good
habits."_
Even if others tell us to do
wrong, we must obey God. Acts 5:29 says:
_"We must obey God
instead of people."_
Arguments often start from
silly things. Proverbs 17:14 says it’s wise to stop fights early. Don’t get
involved in problems that aren’t yours.
Ephesians 4:31 says: "Get
rid of all anger, yelling, and hate."_
1 Peter 2:1 says: "Stop
all hate, lies, jealousy, and mean talk."_
Let’s be brave and say no to
evil. God is proud of us when we choose what is right.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Have I joined in being
mean without knowing?
- How can I stand for what’s
right, even if I’m alone?
- Am I holding anger because
of someone else’s fight?
PRAYER: Dear God, help me
say no to wrong things. Give me wisdom and courage to do what is right. Help me
bring peace and love wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
