CHILD-FRIENDLY GOD IS NOT FAR!
Memory Verse: Psalm 139:7–10 (NLT) “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.”
Is God Really Close? Sometimes
we feel like God is far away—especially when we’re sad, scared, or waiting for
something to change. But the truth is, God is always near, even when we don’t
feel Him.
God Is Everywhere!
Jeremiah 23:23–24 says God
fills heaven and earth. That means He’s with us at home, at school, when we’re
happy, and even when we’re having a tough day.
Even Heroes Felt Alone
-Elijah felt sad and alone
in 1 Kings 19, but God reminded him He was still there.
-David cried out to God in
the Psalms, asking Him to stay close.
- Jesus understands our pain
because He went through hard times too.
God Never Leaves Us
- Hebrews 13:5 – God
promises never to leave us.
- 2 Timothy 2:13 – Even when
we forget Him, He never forgets us.
- Jeremiah 29:13–14 – If we
look for God with all our hearts, we’ll find Him.
- Psalm 46:1 – God is always
ready to help us.
Nothing Can Separate Us from
God
Romans 8:38–39 says nothing
can take us away from God’s love—not sadness, fear, or even mistakes. If we
feel far from God, it’s not because He moved—it’s because we did. But He’s
always ready to welcome us back.
