CHILD FRIENDLY REHOBOTH!
Genesis 26:22 (ICB) "Then he left that well and dug another well. No one argued about this one. So he named it Rehoboth. He said, 'Now the Lord has made room for us. We will be successful in this land.'"
God Makes Room for You!
Everyone wants to grow and
do well—at school, at home, and in life. But guess what? Success and promotion
come from God, not just from people. Psalm 75:6 says that promotion doesn’t
come from the east or west, but from God.
Rehoboth means “God has made
room for me.” That means God gives us space to grow, learn, and shine!
In the Bible, Isaac dug
wells to find water. But people kept fighting with him over the wells. Instead
of fighting back, Isaac moved and dug another well. He trusted God to help him.
And finally, God gave him a well with no fighting. That’s when Isaac said,
“This is Rehoboth!”
Sometimes people may try to
stop us or take what we worked hard for. But like Isaac, we can choose peace
and trust God to bless us in a better way.
God can make room for you at
school, in your family, in your dreams, and in your heart. You don’t have to
fight for it—just trust Him!
MEMORY VERSE: Romans 8:31
(NIV) "If God is for us, who can be against us?"
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Has someone ever tried to
take something that was yours? What did you do?
- Are you trusting God to
help you grow, or are you trying to do it all by yourself?
- Have you ever walked away
from a fight to keep your peace?
- What can you do today to
show that you trust God to make room for you?
PRAYER: Dear God, thank You
for making room for me, just like You did for Isaac. Help me to trust You when
things are hard and not to fight or worry. I know You will help me grow and
succeed in every good thing, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
