CHILD-FRIENDLY A STRANGE STORY!
Memory Verse: Acts 20:10 “But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, “Do not be troubled, for he is still alive.”
The Bible is full of amazing
stories—some are funny, some are sad, and some are just plain strange! But
every story teaches us something special about God.
One day, the Apostle Paul
was visiting a town called Troas. He gathered the people together to talk about
Jesus and share the Lord’s Supper. Paul had so much to say that he kept talking
and talking… all the way until midnight!
Now, imagine sitting in
church for hours and hours. Would you get sleepy? That’s exactly what happened
to a boy named Eutychus. He was sitting on a windowsill, and as Paul kept
preaching, Eutychus fell asleep. But then—oh no!—he fell out of the window from
the third floor and died!
Everyone must have been
shocked! But Paul didn’t panic. He went down, leaned over Eutychus, and God
brought the boy back to life! Paul told everyone, “Don’t worry, he’s alive!”
Then he went right back upstairs and kept preaching until morning!
Even after all that
happened, nobody left. Nobody complained. They stayed because they wanted to
hear more about Jesus. They knew that Paul’s words were powerful words that
could change lives, heal hearts, and bring hope.
What Can We Learn?
- God’s power is real. He
can do amazing things—even bring someone back to life!
- The Word of God is worth
listening to. Even when we’re tired or things get tough, God’s Word gives us
strength.
- We should be like
Eutychus. Even though he got sleepy, he was still there, trying to hear the
Word of God.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank You
for the Bible and all the amazing stories in it. Help me to love Your Word and
want to hear more about You, even when I’m tired or distracted. Make me brave
like Paul and eager like Eutychus. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me grow in
faith every day In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
