PIDGIN FROM SERPENT TO DRAGON!

Jenesis 3:14-15 “God kon tell di snake, “Bikos yu do like dis, “For all di wild animals wey I kreate for dis eart, curse dey yor head! Na belle yu go take dey waka and na san-san yu go dey chop for all yor life. 15 I go make yu hate woman and yor pikin go still hate pikin wey woman born. Pikin wey woman born go mash yor head and yu go bite dia leg.”

 

No dey feed the monster!

You sabi that children show wey dem dey call Sesame Street? E get one puppet wey dem call Cookie Monster wey dey always find cookie to chop. For zoo, dem dey always put sign say “No feed the animals.” Why? Because if you feed dem, dem go get power, grow big, and fit turn wild. Na so e be for us too—wetin we dey feed go grow and take root.

So, which monster you dey feed? The more you dey give am, the stronger e go dey. Bible talk for Isaiah 57:17 say no weapon wey dem form against us go work. But if we dey feed fear or bad habit, na we dey give am power. The weapon no strong by itself, but if we dey satisfy am, e go gain strength against us.

For Genesis, God curse the serpent wey Him create. For Bible, anytime dem mention dragon, na defeat e dey face, especially for Revelation 12:9. But how serpent take turn dragon? Na wetin e dey chop—dust, wey represent human being.

Our actions, attitude, behaviour, cravings, and addiction dey feed the enemy. The more we dey give in, the more e dey hungry. Na cycle be that. Wetin you dey feed? And wetin you dey use feed am?

You dey feed fear? You dey nurture lack? You dey indulge in complex? You get addiction wey you dey feed? Anything wey you nourish go grow. Bible talk say make we feed on the Word—Christ flesh  as John 6:35 talk. Jeremiah 15:16 talk say when we find God word and chop am, e go sweet like honey and nourish us. If we focus on God Word, we go flourish. But if we dey dwell on negative things, dem go grow and overpower us.

Everything we need to win daily battle dey inside God Word. God don already win the fight; Him just want make we do our part. Speak the Word. Declare am. Talk am every day. Establish God Word and e go do wetin e promise. Feed on the correct thing—the Word wey fit destroy serpent before e turn dragon. Dragon get claws, tail, and fire. All na weapon. If you feed wetin dey threaten you, one day e fit overpower you because na you give am power.

No feed the monster. No feed the serpent.

Fear na big contributor. We dey enter plane, trust lift, walk on glass bridge without fear. So why we no go trust God Word? Truth be say, we no dey allow the Word take root. The serpent cause wahala for Genesis, and God curse am. God promise say seed of woman go bruise am. But over time, the seed begin feed the serpent until e turn dragon. Na only God fit defeat am. So, no feed the monster. Feed on the Word. Boost your confidence in God. Nurture grace. Strengthen your anointing through Word and Spirit.

No matter wetin happen, no feed the monster. No feed the serpent, or e go turn dragon.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

- How your thoughts, habits, or attitude don help serpent grow into dragon?

- How you fit dey “chop God Word” as John 6:35 and Jeremiah 15:16 talk?

- You don ever feed wrong thing wey lead to spiritual defeat? Wetin you learn?

- Wetin you go do today to stop to feed serpent and start to nourish your faith?

PRAYER: Papa God, I come before You with heart wey wan align with Your will. I know say sometimes I don dey feed wrong things—fear, doubt, bad habits, and thoughts wey no reflect Your glory. Help me make I no dey feed serpent again. Teach me to starve lie, addiction, fear, and negative pattern wey wan grow into dragon. I declare say no weapon wey dem form against me go work. I choose to feed on Your Word—Bread of Life for Jesus name, Amen.
