Hyacinth go go church cleaning day for her best cloth, she no go clean anything—her own na make dem notice am. Na only the big and important work she want to do. 

Shakara fit deceive person well well sha, most people only see wetin dey outside. To judge book by cover na another way wey people dey use take value person or thing wey no be the real thing. 

To dey keep up appearance mean say person dey hide real self—dey project pretend version. But disguise no dey move God. The heart, inside matter pass to God. God want make we show real beauty, beauty wey reflect am, as 1 Peter 3:3–4 talk.

To dey keep up appearance mean say you show artificial character wey dey cover who you really be. We dey wear mask, dey behave way wey hide our real self so we fit blend with people. Many people own reputation and wetin people think fit no match wetin dey inside them. 

God no dey look the outside. For God, na wetin dey inside person dey important pass. Bible talk say, make we develop inside beauty so e go show for everything we do, and show who we be. 

To judge person by wetin dey outside no correct. See Jesus, God pikin come earth as man. People no even notice by just look, dem crucify am. Dem no even try look past wetin dey outside to see inner beauty and holiness as Matthew 23:28 show. 

We fit spend money for gift to make someone happy or stay on good side, meanwhile heart full of anger and hate. 

World wey we dey live na place wey people dey focus for surface matter. We go like to say na only few dey look past wetin dey outside, but mostly apperance dey influence us, as Matthew 7:20 talk. Wetin be our focus: weight, cloth, make-up, money, or God? 

We go balance appearance with sense. Bible say make we present ourselves well, but God no tell us make we overdo. Make we be correct model of character wey bible teach, as Proverbs 31:30 talk, make we know why we dey do wetin we dey do. 

Make we no act like the world wey dey focus for wetin fine for eye or draw attention to themselves, as 1 John 2:15–16 talk. 

Christian life and our witness suppose reflect for our appearance, as 1 Timothy 2:9–10 show. Make we wear decent and correct cloth as people wey represent Christ and avoid wetin fit confuse people for wetin we stand for. Abeg, keep am real!
