Friends na people wey we like to spend time with. God create us make we get relationship—both with people and with Himself. Friendship wey we get with God, na im suppose be example for all our other friends.

Which kind friends you get? Which kind friend you be?

Friendship, just like any other kind of relationship, na two-way rope wey suppose strong well if na true love, trust, and common goal join am, as Amos 3:3 talk.

True friends dey look out for each other, dey advise, support, encourage, defend, and use better influence help each other, like Proverbs 27:17 yan.

You dey trust your friends—dem dey trust you too? Luke 6:31 na the “golden rule” for relationship.

Vintage friendship mean relationship wey don mature well, wey don pass many seasons, strong because of wetin una don share together, and get correct godly foundation. E no just old—e don refine, e strong, and e get better value; na like old wine wey dey sweet as e dey old.

Friendship need make person dey water am, so e go grow dey shine. If na only one person dey give, friendship no go last. People dey jam together for different reason, and sometimes e go scatter when dem see say the friendship no really make sense, or e just dey, or e don spoil, check 2 Corinthians 6:14.

You like the kind friends wey you get? Dem fit support and give correct advice? Or dem dey do anyhow and fit mislead you, as Proverbs 25:19 yan?

Proverbs and Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 get correct advice about how person fit choose friends and benefit from those wey dey waka your path. If you dey think say you need wise friends wey fit show you road, na true you talk. See Proverbs 11:13 to get more. You no need talk-talk friend wey no fit keep secret.

As person dey find friend, most people dey look for who dey make dem feel good. But na lie, that one no be the most important thing. People wey dey make us feel good fit no be better influence, or dem no go get our best interest.

Some friends fit change the waka of our life. If your friends wise or mumu, na so your life go be, like Proverbs 13:20 talk, because na wetin person know e dey teach.

Make you choose your friends well well. Look for people wey fit advise you, show you better example, and help you make your life better.

Some friendship don last for years and still dey go strong. My old friend don reach 35 years. Sometimes we dey try check on each other to encourage, like 1 Thessalonians 5:11 talk.

How your own be?

You get friend wey don pass test of time, distance, and wahala? If you no get, no worry!

One-person dey wey happy to call you friend—even when you no want. Na Jesus, friend of sinners. Na im no go gossip your matter, no go judge you, or dey compete with you. E even don die for you. E wan make you be im friend, so e fit shower you with love, care, and blessing. If na this kind friend you want, na Jesus you need. Jesus dey ready to give friendship to all wey obey am, as John 15:13 yan.

Find friends wey no dey fear to tell you truth, wey go move you close to God, and wey love you as you be, as Proverbs 17:17 talk.

Find friends wey go help you grow.
