STAND FIRM!

1 Corinthians 16:13 AMPC

Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith ( your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength!

So, are you holding your ground? What’s your foundation? Are you sure about what you’re standing on or who you’re relying on can hold your weight? The scripture tells us that Christ is our solid rock—a foundation that’s unshakeable, unbreakable, and immovable. It’s the only support that can bear us, no matter our size.

In Daniel 11:33, we learn that those who know their God will stand firm and achieve great things. Standing firm suggests that there are challenges ahead—things pushing against us, trying to hold us back and keep us down. When those challenges arise, we’re not just encouraged but commanded to stand our ground. We shouldn’t be swayed, worn out, or tired. To stand firm requires the Word of God, the strength of the Holy Spirit, and the wisdom found in scripture.

Are you standing firm on Christ to stand against the false prophets and misleading messages mentioned in Matthew 24:24?

It is only standing on Christ that gives us the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit according to Ephesians 3:16 to keep firm.

So, are you standing firm? Obstacles will come. Storms will batter us. Issues will pop up. But we’ve got to hold on tight to God’s Word and the promises He’s made. As 2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds us, God’s promises are yes in Christ Jesus and amen in Him. When we firmly stand on God’s Word—Jesus—we can expect breakthroughs. It doesn’t matter how long it takes or what goes on in the meantime; just keep standing firm in the Lord and His mighty power.

Stand firm! Don’t let anything move you. Don’t let yourself be shaken. Don’t grow weary. Stand firm. Yeah, fear might creep in. The waves might crash. The storms could shake things up. But stand firm on that one solid foundation that can’t be broken. Are you standing your ground? In tough times—be it health issues, a divorce, a painful separation, a rebellious child, job loss, or financial struggles—are you holding steady? Because Christ is everything to us. No matter where we find ourselves or what we’re facing, He’s our constant. His Word never fails. So, cling to it and not get tired or give up, because He will come through. But we have to stand firm, resisting the storms of life that try to pry our hands away from His Word and His promises.

Stand firm! Daniel understood this well. Only by standing firm can we do amazing things. If we want to see God’s hand at work, to experience miracles, signs, and wonders in us, through us, and for us, we must resist everything that comes against us. Stand strong on God’s Word and push back against those obstacles. He won’t let you down. He won’t abandon you. He’s got a hold on you. Stand firm. He’s the only one you can rely on. Keep moving forward.

Keep leading and protecting. Stand firm. He’s right there with you. He surrounds you and has promised never to leave you or forsake you.

Stand firm! Standing firm means shifting your focus away from yourself, the natural world, your situation, or the people around you, and instead setting your sights on Jesus, like Isaiah 50:7 says. Fix your gaze on Him and don’t let go. Don’t miss Him. Don’t let go, don’t blink—because you may miss Him. Stand firm, hold tight to His promises; He won’t let you down. He is unshakeable, unmovable, and unbreakable. Stand firm on the solid rock that is Christ Jesus.
