CHILD-FRIENDLY LONELINESS!
Matthew 28:20 GNT
and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
What is Loneliness?
Loneliness is when you feel
sad because you think you are all by yourself. It’s like feeling left out,
unwanted, or like nobody cares. Sometimes, you can even feel lonely when you
are with other people—like in school or at home—because your heart feels empty.
Loneliness can happen when:
·
You don’t have friends to play with.
·
You feel like nobody understands you.
·
You are far away from people you love.
But guess what? God never
wants you to feel alone! He made us to enjoy friendship and family. That’s why
the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 that friends help each other when life is
hard.
What Does the Bible Say?
·
In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good
for man to be alone.” So He made Eve for Adam. God wants us to have friends and
family.
·
Jesus is the best friend ever! In 2
Corinthians 5:18–21, the Bible says Jesus came to bring us close to God. When
you have Jesus, you are never truly alone.
·
God gives us church families and good friends
to help us when we feel lonely.
Even people in the Bible
felt lonely:
·
David prayed to God when he felt sad and
alone (Psalm 25:16–21).
·
Jeremiah was called the “weeping prophet”
because he felt lonely and rejected (Jeremiah 15).
·
Jesus felt lonely too! On the cross, He cried
out, “My God, why have You left me?” (Mark 15:34). Jesus understands how you
feel because He went through it.
Talk to God when you feel
lonely. He promises to be with you always (Matthew 28:20).
Reach out to friends and family.
God made us to help each other.
Remember Jesus loves you and
you are part of His big family!
