CHILD-FRIENDLY WAITING ON GOD PATIENTLY
Memory Verse: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” — Psalm 37:7
What Does It Mean to Wait?
Sometimes life feels like
waiting for something special—like waiting for your birthday, a new toy, or a
fun trip. Waiting can feel hard because we want things to happen right now! But
the Bible teaches us that waiting is not wasted time. It’s a time when God is
working in our hearts, helping us grow stronger and kinder.
Everyone waits for
something—maybe for answers to prayers, for healing, or for a dream to come
true. Waiting is part of life, and it can teach us important lessons.
Hope and Patience
When we wait, we need hope
and patience.
Hope means trusting that God
will do what He promised. Romans 4:18 tells us Abraham hoped in God and became
the father of many nations!
Patience means staying calm
and trusting God’s timing. Galatians 5:23 says patience is a fruit of the
Spirit.
God’s timing is always
perfect—never too early, never too late (2 Peter 3:9). While we wait, God is
preparing us for something amazing!
Why Waiting Is Good
Waiting helps us:
Trust God more
Learn to be still and listen
Grow in faith and character
Job 23:10 says when God
tests us, we will come out like gold! That means waiting makes us shine
brighter for Him.
What Can You Do While You
Wait?
Pray and talk to God
Read your Bible
Be thankful every day
Avoid complaining—choose joy
instead
