PIDGIN WIND OF CHANGE!

John 3:8

“Wen breeze dey blow, e dey go anywhere e wont, yu dey hear di sound wey e dey make, but yu nor fit know where e dey kom from or where e dey go. Na so e bi with evribody wey God Spirit born.” 

 

We get all kinds of winds! We dey hear and see the effect of the wind but no know where e dey comes from. 

For both Hebrew and Greek, na the same word dem dey use for “wind,” “breath,” and “spirit,” so wind dey often stand for the Holy Spirit work wey eye no fit see but power full well-well. Jesus use wind take describe people wey don born by the Spirit, to show say the Spirit dey move in ways wey we no fit fully understand, but we dey always see wetin e cause. 

When the wind of God blow, sea fit part, problems go clear, stronghold go scatter, and life go change. 

Wind fit mean many things give God and for our life; first, the wind na the manifestation of the Holy Spirit—the power of God to bring change, the vehicle and messenger wey God dey use. 

Bible start for Genesis 1:2 with the Holy Spirit as the wind of God wey dey move for on top the water, to make the Creator command come to pass. 

Bible talk about five kinds of wind: North, South, West, East and Whirlwind. Many times we dey hear about bad wind; na mostly the East wind dem dey call ill wind, because na the wind wey dey bring disaster according to Ezekiel 17:10, wey also stir God judgment and punishment for Hosea 13:10, and for Job 27:21, na the same wind wey dey bring tests and trials for our life. 

The North wind wey Song of Solomon 4:16 mention na the wind wey dey make things flourish. 

According to Job 37:17, na the South wind dey make weather balance: e dey cool us when heat too much, and e dey warm us when cold too much. Na through the South wind we fit know how hot e go be, as Jesus talk for Luke 12:55, and for Acts 27:13 na the same South wind give sailors smooth journey. 

The West wind na the only wind wey God call strong for Exodus 10:19, and God use am take clear the locust comot from Egypt land. 

Every time Bible mention whirlwind, e dey always connect am with the Lord, because many times na from inside whirlwind God dey talk and dey move. For Job 38, God answer all Job questions from inside whirlwind for verse 1, and again for Job 40:6. 

According to 2 Kings 2:1, 11, na whirlwind the Lord use carry Elijah with chariot of fire go heaven. 

Ezekiel see the glory of the Lord inside whirlwind for Ezekiel 1:4, and Nahum 1:3 talk say the path of the Lord dey inside whirlwind. 

When we stand well for our position in Christ, the wind of God fit be anything for us and to us; since we no fit see or hear where e dey come from, we fit trust the Lord say e sabi send the correct wind wey each season need. 

When God finish with the judgment wey destroy the earth, He send wind make e pass over the earth and reduce the effect of the rain for Genesis 8:1. 

The wind of God dey blow anywhere wey the Lord send am, and e dey carry come the breakthrough, miracles, deliverance, refreshing, restoration, blessings and healing wey we need. Through the wind of the Lord, we dey born again, as we see for Ezekiel 37:9. 

How the new birth for Christ dey happen through the Divine Spirit like blowing wind fit hard us to fully understand, but we dey hear the sound of the wind from different sides—we dey notice am as trees dey move, and we dey feel am for our body; the only way we take know say the wind dey, na by the effects wey e produce. In the same way, as the wind dey bring our desire to life, na so e dey touch and arrange the elements of creation, and Psalm 148:8 talk say God wind go always carry out His word. 

Hold on! Make you no allow bad winds of change carry you commot for where God put you; instead, allow the wind of change through the power of the Holy Spirit to affect your situation.

PRAYER: Papa God, I need change and I thank You say You be the wind of change wey fit turn my life around. Lord, make Your wind of change blow over me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
