PRESENTATION!
Ephesians 5:27 AMPC
That He might present the
church to Himself in glorious splendour, without spot or wrinkle or any such
things [that she might be holy and faultless].
Presentation! Have you ever
looked at something and thought "wow" that looks amazing? Yes, we all
have.
Presentation is one of the
most used marketing strategies that reel customers in before they can say
"jack"
What is presentation?
Presentation setting forth
an offering; bestowal, exhibition, display, appearance, semblance, and show. Is
the demonstration in real time on how something works.
How do you present yourself?
Are you presenting Christ, as
a believer and a Christ-follower appropriately?
Christ intends to present
the church, you and me to the Father in such a way that expresses His pride and
joy in us in the use of the word “splendour.”
Jesus’s presentation of the
church and his bride will be magnificent, with splendid appearance and
grandeur.
Presentation matters a lot!
Some of us do presentations
daily as part of our lives, professional or otherwise, let’s think of the
calculated time, efforts and resources that go into making those presentations
almost perfect or acceptable. Why is it then, that the same diligence is
lacking in our presentation of the gospel, of Christ?
Everything in our lives must
be presented to the Father as presentation offering for concentration according
to Exodus 29:24.
When we walk into any kind
of shop, intending to buy something specific, we may notice something else and
get hooked on wanting one just because of the presentation, we visualise from
their presentation what and how that item would look in our homes, on us or in
our car.
Some of us do a good
presentation for our guests, at our businesses and at work to do a good job for
our earthy boss that we would never do with the Lord of Host.
When Moses met with Pharaoh
in Exodus 10:1 to present the request for the release of the Israelites, he had
to do a good presentation of His “boss”, the Lord of host, the God of Isreal to
get Pharoah’s attention.
Have you made plans on how
you will be presenting the Lord and His kingdom in this new year and beyond?
Everything about you must be
included in your presentation: your looks, appearance, clothing, manner and
speech. Everything should be used constructively to present the Lord.
First, according to Hebrew
9:2, our altars must be presentable to the Lord with the showbread for daily
communion with the Lord. Our altars must be a good presentation of our intimate
relationship with the Father.
Meditate on 1 Corinthians
12:23, on how we present parts of our body that we think to be less honourable,
we clothe these with greater honour, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation,
yet we treat Holy things, Spiritual things, Godly things and God’s word with
less honour.
Let’s be intentional in our
presentation of Christ and his kingdom in our daily walk.
We must not be hypothetical
in our presentations of those things that should be intimate and private
between us and the Father as Matthew 6:5 talks about.
Let’s deliberately present
the Lord on an attractive, awe-inspiring and desirable package through our
interactions, communications, and general presentation.
Even if people don’t know or
understand what you stand for, make you’re your presentation stand out with the
bold love of God displayed for all to see and come to your Father in heaven,
Presentation matters!
