CHILD-FRIENDLY FLOW WITH GOD’S CURRENT, NOT LISTENING TO THE WIND!
John 3:8 GNT
The wind blows wherever it
wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or
where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the
Spirit."
Sometimes we feel like doing
what everyone else is doing, even if it’s not what God wants for us. We listen
to all kinds of voices and reasons instead of following God’s way. But God
wants us to flow with His current—His will, His direction, and His timing.
The wind represents
distractions, fears, doubts, and voices that try to pull us away from God. When
we listen to the wind, we lose focus and miss God’s plan.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes
11:4, “Anyone who watches the wind will fail to sow, and he who observes the
clouds will fail to reap.” This means if we keep waiting for perfect conditions
or listening to every opinion, we will never do what God wants.
Ephesians 4:14 warns us not
to be “tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of teaching.” Instead,
we should listen to God’s voice. Isaiah 30:21 says, “Whether you turn to the
right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is
the way; walk in it.’”
The wind that misleads can
be wrong teaching, unstable feelings, or worldly desires. But the Holy Spirit
is like a gentle wind that brings power and direction. When we follow Him, we
stay on the right path.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us to
“fix our eyes on Jesus.” Don’t look at the wind—look at Jesus! Remember Peter
in Matthew 14:30-31? He walked on water when he looked at Jesus, but sank when
he looked at the wind.
Romans 8:14 says those who
are led by the Spirit are God’s children. To “walk by the Spirit” means to
follow God every day, not the world’s distractions.
So, be determined to flow
with God’s current, not listen to the wind!
