CHILD-FRIENDLY PREPARE YOURSELF!
Joshua 3:5 GNT
Joshua told the people,
"Purify yourselves, because tomorrow the LORD will perform miracles among
you."
Everything in life needs
preparation. When we don’t get ready, it’s like choosing to fail. In the Bible,
preparation means getting our hearts and lives ready for what God wants to do.
Before the Israelites
crossed the Jordan River, Joshua told them, “Make yourselves holy, because
tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”
They had to prepare before
they saw God’s miracle.
Are you ready for the new
year?
Are you ready to learn more
about God, hear Him better, and follow His plans?
If you want 2026 to be
better than last year, you must prepare—with God’s help.
What does it mean to prepare
yourself?
It means setting your heart,
mind, and life in order so God can use you.
In the Bible, God often told
His people to prepare by obeying Him, cleaning their hearts, and focusing on
Him (Exodus 19:10–15; Exodus 12:11; Numbers 8:6–7).
The New Testament also
teaches us to stay ready for Jesus’ return, to do good works, and to share the
gospel. Preparation is something we keep doing every day.
Why do we prepare if we
already pray?
Because preparation shows faith.
When we get ready, we show
we believe God will act.
Preparation removes
distractions and helps us focus on God.
Proverbs 24:27 teaches wise
planning.
Proverbs 16:1 reminds us God
prepares our hearts.
1 Peter 3:15 tells us to
always be ready to explain our hope.
Jesus also said to keep our
lamps burning and stay ready (Luke 12:35–36).
Preparation is a daily
attitude.
Are you prepared?
