CHILD-FRIENDLY STRIFE‑FREE ZONE!
Proverbs 13:10
Where there is strife, there
is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Strife means arguing,
fighting, or refusing to get along. It breaks friendships, brings sadness, and
stops peace. The Bible says strife comes from pride—when someone always wants
to be right and refuses to listen.
God wants us to live in
peace, not in strife. When we choose kindness, listen to others, and forgive
quickly, we help create a peaceful place around us.
In the Bible, Abram chose
peace instead of fighting with Lot’s helpers, and God blessed him. Isaac also
walked away from strife, and God blessed him too. Peace always brings good
results, but fighting brings trouble.
In Genesis 13, conflict
broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lot. Strife threatened their
relationship until Abram wisely chose peace by offering Lot the first choice of
land. His humility preserved unity and positioned him for God’s blessing.
Jesus said people will know
we belong to Him when we love one another. That means we should try our best to
keep peace at home, at school, and with our friends.
A strife‑free zone is a place where
people choose kindness instead of arguments. You can help create that kind of
place.
