CHILD-FRIENDLY TERRITORIAL OVERTHROW!
Ephesians 6:12 GNT
For we are not fighting
against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly
world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age.
God gives each of us a place
to shine — our home, school, friendships, gifts, and responsibilities. These
are like our “territories.”
Sometimes things try to stop
us from doing what God wants — fear, bad choices, arguments, sadness, or
pressure. But the Bible says our real battle is not with people. It is a
spiritual battle, and God helps us win.
In the Bible, God told His
people to stay where He placed them and trust Him. When they ran away, things
got harder. When they stayed and obeyed, God helped them win.
- God wants us to:
- Stay where He has placed us
- Pray for His help
- Be brave
- Take care of what He has given us
Territorial overthrow simply
means:
Don’t run from hard things —
trust God and stand strong.
The stories of Joshua,
Jericho, Gideon, and Israel all show that territories are conquered not by
strength but by obedience, courage, and divine strategy. Jericho fell through
God’s instruction. Gideon defeated a large army through divine wisdom. God’s strategy
always leads to victory when we obey.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. What special place or responsibility has God
given you right now?
2. Is there anything making it hard for you to
do what God wants?
3. How can you ask God to help you be strong in
your territory this week?
PRAYER: Father, help me be brave and stand
strong in the places You have put me. Give me courage to do what You want and
take care of everything You’ve given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
