PIDGIN FLOW WITH GOD CURRENT, NO LISTEN TO WIND!

John 3:8 “ Wen breeze dey blow, e dey go anywhere e wont, yu dey hear di sound wey e dey make, but yu nor fit know where e dey kom from or where e dey go. Na so e bi with evribody wey God Spirit born.”

 

We dey always face temptation and pressure to follow wetin everybody dey do, even when e no be God plan for us. Sometimes we just wan listen to reasons (wey make sense and wey no make sense) and do wetin dey “for air” instead of to follow God own current. 

God current na Him will, direction and timing – the road wey Him design make we follow. The wind na distraction, fear, doubt and the plenty voices of this world wey dey try shift us commot for the road wey God mark for us. 

So this one mean say make we remain aligned with God guidance and trust Him leading, even when situation and people opinion around us dey loud and strong. 

Last year, many of us get plans – plans wey need work and time – but we listen to the wind and everything come stop, end, or hand still dry. 

Ecclesiastes 11:4 talk am like this: “Anyone wey dey watch wind no go sow, and anybody wey dey observe cloud no go reap.” 

Proverbs 26:13 still add: “Why lazy person no dey comot house? Na lion him dey fear outside.” 

We don allow different kind wind push us commot for God alignment, but time don reach for us to come back and flow with God current. 

Our text show say people wey the Spirit dey lead, na God flow dem dey follow, no be human reasoning. 

To flow with God current mean say make you dey led by the Holy Spirit and God Word, no be make life dey carry you up and down with every change for situation, emotion or people opinion. Bible show clear difference between the steady leading of the Spirit and “every wind” wey dey toss believers anyhow. 

Ephesians 4:14 talk say immature believers dey “tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine,” like small boat wey no get control inside storm. Na picture of people wey dey listen to every voice and trend instead of God. 

Isaiah 30:21 encourage us say: “Whether you turn right or left, your ear go hear voice for back of you dey talk, ‘Na this road, walk am.’” God dey give clear direction – our work na to follow Him current and no allow any other wind decide where we go. 

The wind wey dey mislead fit be: 

- Fake teaching 

- Unstable emotion 

- Worldly desire wey dey change every time 

If person dey listen to this kind wind, e go end up confused and unstable. 

But the Holy Spirit too dey described like wind – only say this one dey bring power, change and correct direction. Na this wind dey help believer do wetin him no fit do by himself. To flow with this kind divine wind na to align with God power, no be to scatter with worldly breeze. 

To make sure say we no dey follow this wrong wind, Hebrews 12:2 tell us say make we “fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith…” No let wind of circumstance distract you; keep your focus for Christ. 

Na only when our eyes stay for the Lord, and we set our face like flint as Isaiah 50:7 talk, we fit stand gidigba inside strongest wind. Peter show us example for Matthew 14:30-31: “When him see the wind, fear catch am, and as him begin sink, him shout, ‘Lord, save me!’ Jesus immediately stretch hand…” 

As him focus on Jesus, him walk on top water; as him begin listen to the wind, him begin sink. 

Make the Spirit lead you, no be wind! Romans 8:14 talk about people wey “dey live according to the Spirit” and wey “the Spirit of God dey lead.” This one show continuous inside leading, no be outside pressure. God will go turn to law wey dey written inside heart, no be only rule wey dey outside. 

To “walk by the Spirit” mean to live under Him moment-by-moment direction – to dey inside the flow of spiritual current. Na this one dey keep believer from to follow flesh desire or to follow the pull of this world. 

Make up your mind this year say you go flow with God current, no go dey listen to wind. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

-         How I fit take hear God voice instead of all the other voices wey dey around me?

-        Wetin be the things for my life wey dey distract me from to follow God way?

-        How I fit keep my eyes on Jesus every day, even when life hard?

PRAYER:  Lord, help me make I follow Your way and make I no dey distracted by other voices. Teach me to dey hear You and to trust Your plan every day.
