E use strong lite take make dem run. 16Di river dry finish and di eart foundashon kon open so God nor keep silent and E kon shaut for en enemies with vexnashon. 17God kom down from heaven kon hold mi. E draw mi komot from di wota wey deep well-well. 18E save mi from my strong enemies and all di pipol wey hate mi, bikos dem too strong for mi. 19 Wen I dey trobol, dem attack mi, but God protet mi. 20 Bikos E dey happy with mi, E help mi wen I dey trobol kon save mi. 21 God reward mi, bikos I do wetin dey rite. Make una tok how God wey save mi strong rish! 48 give mi viktory ova my enemies kon put di nashons under mi. 49 My Oga God! Yu save mi from my enemies

God wey dey deliver! Our Deliverer! My own and your own! “Deliverance” mean when person dey rescued or set free. Bible don tell us say God dey deliver people wey cry to am. He dey deliver people from slavery, sin, enemy, and even death. 

This na David song wey he sing give God to thank am when God deliver am from serious danger. You get your own song of deliverance to thank God for wetin He don do for you? David sabi God well well as Him Deliverer. If you read Psalms well, especially Psalm 18, you go see as David take describe God power to save. Me too dey thank God say He be my Deliverer — because I no fit save myself and no human being fit rescue me when wahala burst. 

If you don study David life, you go see say he face plenti enemies — like Saul, foreign army, friends wey betray am, and even family wahala. But in all, he still dey praise God wey dey deliver am from every danger. This thing show say deliverance no be only physical — e fit be spiritual, emotional, and even eternal. 

Every day, we dey struggle, and we dey fight battle against Satan and him demons and the world. The fight real no be play. The wahala bad reach say the enemy no even dey show face. According to Ephesians 6:10–12, na only God hand fit help us for every area of life. 

When David dey in distress, he call unto the Lord for verse 7, and God hear am — the same way God dey hear us when we dey cry for help. No be wonder thing say King of kings dey listen to common people prayer? David call God him Strong Fortress because he understand say God no just dey give us strength — God Himself na our Strength. 

Many of us no go ever know how many times God carry us comot from danger, or deliver us from wahala wey we no even see, or save us from things we no fit handle—see Psalm 106:43. 

You dey call on God for every struggle? You dey trust am to fight your battle? Make we learn from David and the Psalms say our enemy no fit win or fulfill him plan to frustrate, defeat, or destroy us. We dey always need and beg God for deliverance for many part of our life — especially for spiritual matter — and we know say God fit deliver us and even save us from Him own judgment or anger. 

You sabi any other person wey fit deliver apart from God? Maybe parent, friend, pikin, or husband/wife? Only one God fit deliver true true. And we get free access to this Deliverer — the One and Only God, Creator of the whole universe, the One wey know you and everything about you. Wetin be man wey God dey reason us like this?
