PIDGIN THE POWER AND GLORY!

Matthew 6:13 “Nor allow us enter temptashon, but make yu save us from bad tins.’

 

God no dey share Him glory with anybody (Isaiah 42:8), and because of Him power, Luke 1:37 talk say nothing dey impossible with God. God power and glory na part of the doxology wey close the Lord’s Prayer. If we no dey thirst for God, we no go search for am, and if we no search for am, we no go see Him glory. Na inside the glory of God miracles dey happen, because the power of God dey show itself inside that same glory. 

Make our mindset be to allow the glory of God show for our daily life and make His power help us overcome daily challenge — all to bring am praise.

The glory of God dey appear to everybody, but no be everybody dey recognise am as the tangible presence of the Lord. The power of God — that energy wey dey govern the Kingdom and hold everything together — na wetin make authority get true meaning. Without am, even spiritual title and position no get weight.

Glory na the unique splendour of God!

The glory of God fit mean two things. First, as general attribute — the beauty, majesty and perfection wey belong to Him alone. Second, as specific experience — the time wey Him presence show clear for history. 

God glory mainly talk about Him majestic beauty and splendour. E also mean the expression of God character (Romans 3:23).

We weak, we no fit do anything without God power. But God almighty, and with Him, all things dey possible. “Thine is the glory” mean say all honour and praise belong to God. No be our glory, but His own. 

Him goodness dey show when He dey provide for us; His power, when He dey protect us; His praise, when the gospel spread reach every corner of the world.

John 17:22 tell us say God don give us glory through Jesus Christ. Meaning say, we dey share in all the attributes and essence of God through the Holy Spirit wey dey live inside us. Men go see that visible glory through our life. As Christ talk, “The glory wey You give Me, I don give them” — this mean say He give us power to do great things and to preach truth wey pure. Everybody wey believe in Christ don receive this same privilege to become children of God.

The Gloria in Excelsis — “Glory to God in the highest” (Luke 2:14) — na the song of the angels when dem dey praise God for the birth of Jesus. For heaven, dem dey honour God for Him love toward mankind; and for earth, na peace and goodwill between God and man.

We must learn to always chase the glory of the Lord, not only Him blessings or Him hand. Na Him glory dey change man, and na His power dey give us authority over darkness. This one na the Shekinah Glory of God — the “dwelling glory”, the same presence wey appear for pillar of cloud and fire for Old Testament time.

The power and authority wey believer need to do the great commission (Matthew 28:20) dey revealed and strengthened inside the glory of God. The person of God dey show inside Him glory (Isaiah 40:5), and through this glory, we see and use revelation power with grace to honour the Father. 

All power and glory belong to God, yet He still choose to share Him power with us to do exploits and make His glory rest on us (Isaiah 60:1). Romans 11:36 confirm am say everything for this universe start from God, exist through God, and go end for God. To Him be all the glory forever and ever! Amen.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

- For which area of my life I need to deliberately allow the glory of God to shine every day? 

- I truly dey thirst for God, or I don turn passive to seek Him presence and glory? (“If we no thirst for God, we no go search for am, and we no go see Him glory.”) 

- How I dey use the power wey God give me to push His Kingdom and walk with spiritual authority?

PRAYER: Glorious God, thank You because You get all power and You still dey willing to pour Your glory upon me. Empower me by Your Spirit make I fit do exploits for Jesus name. Amen.
