PIDGIN PREPARE YOURSELF!
Joshua 3: 5 “Joshua tell di pipol, “Make una go klean unasef, bikos for dis time tumoro, God go do strong mirakle among una.”
Everything wey person wan do
for life need preparation. If we no prepare, e mean say we don plan to fail.
Preparation na when person dey make something or somebody ready before time for
a purpose, event or use. For Bible, e mean both physical and spiritual
readiness before God.
Spiritually, to prepare mean
to bring your life, heart, and action go that level wey you dey ready to meet
God, obey am and waka inside wetin He don plan for you.
Before the Israelites cross
Jordan River go the Promised Land, Joshua tell dem one clear instruction: “Make
una consecrate una self, because tomorrow the Lord go do wonders among una.”
Preparation na the key wey open door to God miracle.
You don prepare for the new
year so? For the work wey God go call you do? To make impact for your world for
the Lord? You ready to dig deeper inside the Word, to sabi God pass last year,
to hear am better and clearer?
If you wan make 2026 better
pass last year, you must ready to put your time and effort to work, with the
help of the Lord.
Wetin e mean to prepare
yourself?
To prepare yourself mean say
you dey set your heart, mind, and life in order for wetin God wan do. E no just
dey about physical readiness — e dey spiritual too. God blessings dey always
follow obedience and preparation.
God dey always tell Him
people for Bible to prepare demself before He go show up or move for their
matter. E dey involve cleansing, obedience, and respect (for example, when
Israel prepare before dem meet God for Mount Sinai or before Passover) — see Exodus
19:10–15, 22; 12:11; Numbers 8:6–7.
Preparation for Bible mean
say person dey get ready — spiritually, practically, or inside heart — for
wetin God wan do, and e dey always involve obedience, cleansing, and
watchfulness.
Even for New Testament, e
still talk about to ready for the second coming of Christ, for good works, and
to share the gospel. Dis kind preparation no be one-time something; na
lifestyle — ongoing attitude wey no suppose rest.
But why we need to prepare
when we dey already fellowship with God every day? Preparation na sign of faith
— when you prepare, you dey show say you believe say God go act. God dey work
with order. Before every miracle, instruction dey. So, to prepare na to
position yourself to obey.
Preparation dey remove
distraction. To consecrate yourself mean to focus on God and drop any sin or
thing wey fit hold you back.
We fit prepare for different
ways. Practical and spiritual readiness, as Proverbs 24:27 talk, say — “Prepare
thy work without and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build
thine house.” Dis one dey show say wise preparation dey come before big
step.
True preparation dey start
for mind, and na God dey direct am, as Proverbs 16:1 talk — “The preparations
of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.”
1 Peter 3:15 talk say — “But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and always ready to give answer to
anybody wey ask you about the hope wey dey inside you — do am with meekness and
fear.”
Preparation na posture! We
must dey like people wey keep their oil full and lamp dey shine, ready for the
Bridegroom sudden coming. The general principle, as Luke 12:35–36 talk, be say
— “Make una waist belt dey tight and una lamp dey shine; and make una dey like
men wey dey wait for their master…”
Preparation no be one-time
something. Na continuous lifestyle of readiness, watchfulness, and
service.
You don prepare so?
