PIDGIN REMEMBER ME, LORD!

Psalm 106:3–4

Joy dey for pipol wey dey do well and always dey do wetin dey rite. 4 My God, wen Yu dey show yor favor to yor pipol, make Yu remember mi; make Yu kom near and save mi.

 

The cry make God remember us no mean say He don forget, because God no fit forget. Instead, na appeal make He act — make He show mercy and fulfil Him covenant for our life. 

When God remember, He dey move. Him remembrance na action, a sign of Him faithfulness — just like for Genesis 8:1 when God remember Noah and everything wey dey inside the ark. He no just recall; He restore, deliver, complete process, and align destiny. 

Many times, the confusion and wahala around us dey make us feel like say God don forget us, but Him Spirit still dey hover around every situation, just like for Genesis 1. The wind of God still dey blow to calm storms and bring order where confusion dey. 

God no dey process time like us. Him remembrance no be like mental recall — na action wey show mercy and favour. When God remember you, e mean say time don reach for Am to act for your good and pull you out of any situation wey hold you down. 

Genesis 8:1 say, God remember Noah. That time, the purpose why God spare Noah don complete, and the earth don ready again to become the home wey God plan am to be. But no be only Noah God remember, He remember all the animals and living things wey dey inside the ark. 

When we cry to God make He remember us, He no dey touch only our own matter, He dey touch everything wey join — our children, work, business, family and even things we don forget. 

For God to remember you, the process must complete. Noah process complete when the wind pass over the earth to subdue the water. Genesis 1 show us say the Holy Spirit dey move over the face of the deep, work on the chaos, and bring creation into order. The same Spirit dey move now for your process — over every confusion, every delay — to bring out your remembrance moment. 

God no be man; He no dey forget wetin He promise. He faithful, He remember, and He act because of His covenant. God no go “remember” you because He forget, but because time don reach for your appointed visitation. 

Sometimes people, situation, or event fit try delay your remembrance — some dey open, others dey underground, working secretly to hold you. Life storms fit strong; pain fit heavy till you no dey even see God word or hand because your focus don full your problem. But you must learn to look beyond yourself — pray for others wey need remembrance too, like Abraham prayed for Lot. Even if you never open mouth to ask, person fit dey intercede for you make God remember you. 

Ask yourself: you don open your heart to God recently? You dey hear His voice, or you don close hand from His work? 

Where and what you need God to remember you for? 

The name “Joseph” mean “He go add.” When God remember, He no just recall, He add more blessings because of Him covenant faithfulness. Even when life slow, Psalm 136:23 talk say God still remember us and deliver us from our enemies. 

Genesis 30:22–24 talk say God remember Rachel when she barren. Genesis 21:1 say He remember Sarah and visit her as He promise. Genesis 19:29 say He remember Abraham and save Lot. Anytime God remember person, delay dey end, cycle dey break, and testimony dey start. 

So, when Bible talk say God remember person or Him covenant with person, e mean say time don reach for God to act for that person welfare and renew everything concerning them. No matter where you dey or how far you don go, God dey about to remember you. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

-        Which area of my life I need God mercy and divine intervention right now? 

-        Which process God dey complete for my life even when I never fully understand am? 

-        Who God dey call me to intercede for, just like Abraham pray for Lot? 

PRAYER: Father, remember me according to Your unfailing love and covenant mercy. Let every area of my life wey dey wait for Your touch receive divine intervention. Blow away every chaos, silence every storm, and complete every process wey necessary for my lifting today. Make Your favour speak for me, in Jesus name. Amen.
