PIDGIN RESISTANCE FROM STEPPING INTO PURPOSE!

John 16:33 “I don tell una all dis tins, so dat my peace go stay with una. Wahala full inside di world and sofa dey too, but make una heart dey strong, bikos I don already win di world.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

To step into the purpose wey God design for your life na one of the strongest decision you fit ever make. But that same decision na one wey dey face the most resistance. Bible talk clear—anytime God call person, wahala go rise: from outside, inside, and even from spiritual side. Jesus Himself talk say trouble go come, but Him victory don already give us peace and courage. 

Every believer suppose understand this one well: resistance no mean say you dey wrong place; e fit even mean say you dey enter the right one. 

Everybody wey God call face resistance! For Bible, once person step into divine purpose, opposition go show face. Moses argue with God because he feel say he no qualify, and Pharaoh fight am because he fear say he go lose power. Jeremiah say he too young and fear people voice, but God strengthen him. Nehemiah face mockery and threat when he dey rebuild Jerusalem wall. Even Jesus face rejection for Him hometown and face opposition everywhere He go. 

If those great men and women face resistance, we no suppose shock when our own come. Purpose no dey come inside comfort; e dey come with pressure. 

Resistance plenty times dey spiritual one, like Ephesians 6:12 talk say we no dey fight with people but with spiritual powers wey dey control environment, culture, and people system. Every purpose dey attract spiritual battle. Every assignment dey face attack. Devil no dey fight wetin no threaten am. The enemy dey resist you because your purpose dangerous to him kingdom. 

Na why God tell us make we put on the full armour of God—so we fit stand when battle show. You no fit enter purpose anyhow; you go enter am armed with the Word, prayer, and faith. 

You fit feel unqualified, afraid, confused, or tired. But make you remember say God call always carry God strength. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 talk say, “The One wey call you na faithful, He go do am.” God dey always equip the people wey He call. E no expect you to fulfil your purpose by your own power. 

God go always provide wisdom for every decision, courage for every step, grace for every battle, and strength for every weak point. Purpose no dey fulfilled through perfection, but through obedience. 

Paul story show am well. Him ministry full of hardship—shipwreck, prison, betrayal, rejection, and pain. But Paul no lose focus because he get vision. He understand say pressure no dey stop purpose; instead, e dey make purpose stronger. 

2 Corinthians 4:8–9 encourage us say, “We dey hard-pressed on every side, but we no crushed… we fit fall, but we no destroyed.” Pressure no destroy people wey get purpose; e dey refine dem. Resistance dey reveal wetin you carry inside—your faith level, endurance, trust for God, and spiritual maturity. 

God dey use resistance prepare us for responsibility wey go come with our assignment. Before David become king, he fight lion, bear, and Goliath. Before Joseph rule Egypt, he waka through betrayal, slavery, and prison. Before Esther save her nation, she face fear and risk. Before Jesus go cross, He face temptation for wilderness. 

The resistance no come to break you, but to build you. E dey help you learn how to fight the right battles—when to speak, pray, and stand firm. We no suppose hide, complain, or give up when purpose dey call. We must push back against fear, doubt, discouragement, and every force wey wan pull us off track. 

The enemy dey push to stop us, but purpose dey push us forward. Resistance show say you be threat, because your purpose carry influence and impact. Devil no dey fight person wey no dey go anywhere; he dey fight people wey carry light, destiny, and power. You no dey fight for victory—you dey fight from victory because Jesus don already win.

  • ·       Which kind resistance you don notice when you try to step into your purpose—fear, discouragement, pressure, spiritual attack, or self-doubt? 
  • ·       How knowing say resistance na normal thing for God calling change your mindset about your own calling? 
  • ·       Which thing you go do this week to push back, trust God, and keep moving toward your purpose with confidence? 

PRAYER: Father, thank You say You don call me, strengthen me, and prepare me for my God-given purpose. Help me to stand strong when resistance come. Give me courage, boldness, and faith to push back against fear, doubt, and every spiritual battle. Fill me with Your peace, and remind me say You don already overcome the world. I declare say I go walk inside purpose, stand inside victory, and fulfil everything You create me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
