PIDGIN STRIFE-FREE ZONE!

Proverbs 13:10 “To dey karry body up, dey kause wahala, but doz wey dey take advise, wise well-well.” 

 

Where strife dey, pride dey there too, but wisdom dey inside the people wey sabi take advice. 

Strife na one silent destroyer of peace, unity, and relationship. E no be just small disagreement or different opinion. Strife dey carry bitterness, stubbornness, and fight. E dey create one kind environment wey peace no fit stay, and quarrel go just become normal thing. Bible talk say strife na pikin of pride – when heart no wan yield, listen, or reason another person side. Anywhere pride raise head, strife no dey far. 

Strife na one of the strongest weapons wey satan dey use because e fit scatter family, friendship, marriage, ministry, and even community. E dey swallow unity and make people forget wetin really matter. Scripture warn say anger, pride, and hot temper dey cause strife. Plenty relationship and partnership don crash because person dey more interested to be right than to be righteous. 

Amos 3:3 ask say, two people fit waka together if dem no agree? Jesus still carry am higher for Matthew 18:19: when two people agree like music wey rhyme and pray together, Heaven dey answer. Agreement dey pull down divine blessing. But if strife dey in control, unity go die and blessing go block. 

Bible call us to be peacemakers, not troublemakers. Paul tell Timothy make he avoid foolish arguments and chase righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Romans 12:18 talk say make we live at peace with everybody as e possible reach, and Hebrews 12:14 tell us make we pursue peace with seriousness. Peace no dey just happen; we must chase am, nurture am, and protect am. 

Strife dey start from pride—when person no wan hear another person side. Anybody wey full of strife no dey like compromise, beg, or humble himself. Dem just wan make dem voice loud, not to understand others. That kind behaviour dey scatter friends, divide families, and weaken church. The devil like strife because e open door for confusion, discouragement, and division. 

Bible show us plenty example of wetin strife dey cause. 

For Genesis 13, fight break out between Abraham and Lot herdsmen. Strife nearly spoil their relationship, but Abraham choose peace. He tell Lot make he choose land first, and that humility preserve unity and bring blessing. 

For Genesis 26, Isaac face quarrel over wells for Gerar. Instead of fighting, he move on and dig another one. Later, God carry am reach Rehoboth—the place of enlargement and peace. 

Strife cause Korah rebellion for Numbers 16 and make Israelites complain for Numbers 20. Anytime strife show face, wahala follow. Na only godly wisdom and humility fit calm am down. 

Unity, on the other hand, na opposite of strife. Psalm 133 talk say unity good and sweet, and God dey command blessing where unity dey. Unity dey attract God, but strife dey push Him away. Jesus talk for John 13:35 say the world go know Him disciples by the love wey dem get for one another. When believers dey fight and strife, people wey dey watch go confuse. Strife dey spoil our witness and make Christ message look unattractive. Proverbs 6:16–19 even talk say one of the things wey the Lord hate na the person wey dey scatter people with strife. 

As children of God, we must create *strife-free zones* inside our heart, home, relationship, church, and community. Peace no be weakness; na decision. E need humility, patience, forgiveness, and open ear to listen. When we chase peace, we dey protect God presence, preserve unity, and open space for blessing. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

·       You get any area for your life wey strife don dey grow because of pride, misunderstanding, or pain? 

·       Which practical step you go take this week to be peacemaker and keep your environment calm? 

·       You don notice before how choosing peace open door for blessing, healing or reconciliation? 

PRAYER: Prince of Peace, fill my heart with humility and wisdom. Help me make I pursue peace with everybody, avoid strife, and walk in love. Teach me to listen, forgive, and show grace. Make my life, home, and relationship become strife-free zone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
