PIDGIN UPROOT THE ROOT!

Matthew 15:13 “Jesus ansa, “Any plant wey my Papa for heaven nor plant, dem go rut am trowey..’

 

“For this people heart don strong, their ear no dey hear well, and their eyes dem don close…” Jesus show us say spiritual blindness and wahala wey dey repeat dey start for inside heart — na root, no be surface. God always dey deal with source, no be symptom. 

We must stop to dey handle only surface issue if we want permanent solution. 

Plenty of us dey manage life only for surface level. We dey trim the leaves, clean the branches, and try make situation look okay, but surface work no dey bring true change. 

We dey take action wey soothe the problem instead of healing the source. 

We dey fix wetin people fit see, but the one wey hidden, we just leave alone. 

Jeremiah 6:14 talk say, “Dem don heal my people wound slightly...” — “slightly”! God call that kind healing temporal, shallow and incomplete. 

God wan uproot everything wey Him no plant, but sometimes through stubbornness, ignorance, or disobedience, we hold tight to the same thing we dey beg God make Him remove. This one mean say some things for our life — habits, patterns, emotions, afflictions — no be God plant am. 

Dem be foreign matter inside the soul. Foreign thing no belong, no dey submit, and dey produce foreign fruit. 

If we no uproot am, e go dey grow quietly under surface till we begin dey comfortable with am, even give am space to continue. 

You go say, “Why I go disturb wetin no dey disturb me?” But if you leave am, e go still disturb you later. 

People no dey fear dormant volcano — nobody remember am or check am well, until e erupt. 

Volcano no dey burst suddenly; pressure dey build underground even when the surface look calm. 

Na so enemy dey work — silent activity, hidden habits, secret sin, deep emotions wey we ignore. 

Until one day, “PUFF”— eruption! 

The lava go spread, burn, and destroy everything for the path. People go say, “But e don silent since!” Yes, e silent for surface, but activity dey underground — na so the enemy dey do for people life. 

Song of Songs 2:15 say, “Catch the little foxes wey dey spoil the vineyard.” If we no catch the “small foxes,” dem go grow turn big destruction. 

Symptoms dey show root! But we dey treat symptoms: We dey pray away discomfort instead of to ask God for discernment. We dey adjust lifestyle without touching the spiritual roots. We dey medicate pain without healing the heart. Symptoms no be enemy — dem be signal say something deeper need attention. 

Proverbs 4:23 talk say, “Guard your heart above all things, because from there life dey flow.” Sometimes to guard heart, you go to need ask yourself serious question — why, what, how, and who? If we no ask, we go continue dey reap bad fruit. 

The heart — the root — na him shape the fruit. 

True and lasting transformation need uprooting. 

Just like yam, potato, or carrot wey you must dig from ground, na when you uproot you go see the truth. 

Some roots go show fruit; some go show emptiness. But nothing go change until you pull something out. 

Which thing you need pull out of your life? 

Which root you need to uproot before breakthrough fit happen? 

You no fit harvest transformed life if you still get toxic roots buried inside. 

Psalm 139:23–24 say, “Search me, O God... check if any wicked way dey inside me...” 

Make God check the soil of your soul and uproot anything wey He no plant.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

- Which issue for my life dey come back again and again because I only dey treat the symptoms, not the root? 

- Wetin God don show me say e no be Him plant for my heart, my family, or my habit — and e need to be uprooted? 

- I ready make Holy Spirit dig deep inside me — even if e pain — so true healing fit start? 

PRAYER: Father, in Jesus name, search the depth of my heart and show me every root wey You no plant. Uproot every hidden pattern, cycle, weight, and seed wey dey fight Your purpose for my life. Heal me from inside out. Give me courage to face the root, not just the symptoms, and the grace to walk in true freedom, in Jesus name. Amen.
