CHILD-FRIENDLY GOOD SUCCESS!
Joshua 1:8-9 GNT
Be sure that the book of the
Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that
you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
[9] Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not
be afraid or discouraged, for I, the LORD your God, am with you wherever you
go."
Everyone wants to do well in
life, but God shows us what good success really looks like. It’s not just money
or being famous. Good success comes from knowing God, obeying Him, and trusting
that He is with us.
God told Joshua to think
about His Word Day and night.
That means reading the
Bible, remembering it, and letting it guide our choices.
Psalm 1:2–3 says that when
we love God’s Word, we become strong like a tree planted by water.
God said, “Don’t let My Word
leave your mouth.”
That means say what God says.
Jesus did this too! When the
devil tempted Him, Jesus said, “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4).
Good success comes when we do
what God says.
Noah obeyed God and built
the ark (Genesis 6:22).
Abraham obeyed even when he
didn’t know where he was going (Hebrews 11:8).
Peter obeyed Jesus and
caught a miracle catch of fish (Luke 5:5).
God told Joshua, “Be strong
and courageous… I am with you wherever you go”
Courage doesn’t mean you’re
never scared.
It means you move forward because
God is with you.
Joshua obeyed God even when
the instructions sounded strange—like marching around Jericho (Joshua 6). But
God gave him victory!
