CHILD-FRIENDLY SPIRITUAL CONFRONTATIONS!
Galatians 6:1-2 GNT
My friends, if someone is
caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him
right; but you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so
that you will not be tempted, too. [2] Help carry one another's burdens, and in
this way you will obey the law of Christ.
Confrontation means talking
to someone when they are doing something wrong so they can change. It is not
easy, but the Bible teaches us to do it with love, kindness, and a desire to
help.
Everyone makes mistakes.
Sometimes people hurt others without knowing, and sometimes they do it on
purpose. When someone keeps doing something wrong, the Bible says we should
lovingly talk to them so they can grow and do better.
Proverbs 27:6 teaches that
honest correction is a sign of real love. If we care about people, we won’t
keep quiet when they are going the wrong way. We ask God to help us speak with
love, patience, and courage.
Sometimes we avoid
confrontation because we don’t want trouble. But Hebrews 10:24 says we should
encourage others to do what is right. If we ignore problems, they can grow
bigger and cause more hurt.
Paul corrected the church in
1 Corinthians 5 because he wanted them to change and be restored. Good
confrontation is not about punishing—it is about helping someone become better.
The Bible helps us know the
right way to confront (2 Timothy 3:16). We must always confront with love, not
anger. Proverbs 10:12 warns that without love, confrontation only causes more
fighting.
Problems will always come,
but if we never talk about them, they pile up and cause even more trouble.
Philippians 2:3–4 reminds us not to think only about ourselves but to care
about others too. Sometimes caring means gently telling someone the truth.

How can I let the Holy Spirit help me speak
kindly and at the right time?
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me
confront others with kindness, patience, and love. Teach me to speak gently and
help others grow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Shalom
