Make yu nor fear or shake, bikos mi wey bi di Oga yor God, I dey with yu for evritin wey yu dey do.”

 

Everybody wan succeed and remain successful, but na mostly by world standard. You don ever ask yourself wetin God call success? For this world, success na money, big name, and recognition.

But God own success deep pass that one. E be good success—success wey dey come from obedience, godly character, and God presence. Deuteronomy 8:18 even talk say na God dey give power to make wealth, the same thing wey the world dey use measure success.

Joshua stand for the edge of the Promised Land with big assignment, but God no give am battle plan first—He give am spiritual blueprint.

From verse 8, we see say good success start with God Word.

The first step na to meditate on the Word day and night (meaning all the time). This one no be rush reading. Na slow, gentle thinking—allow Scripture shape how you dey think, wetin you dey want, and how you dey make decisions.

Psalm 1:2–3 show wetin go happen: you go strong, fruitful, and steady like tree wey dey near water.

You dey meditate on the Word well enough so you fit talk am when time reach? The instruction talk say make the Book of the Law no depart from your mouth—meaning, make you speak the Word.

When we speak God Word, e dey strengthen our faith and align our heart with wetin God talk.

Jesus Himself do this for Matthew 4:4—when pressure and temptation come, He answer with Scripture.

The Lord give us the full formula for success: “Make you dey do wetin the Word talk.” Obey the Word!

Obedience na the bridge between wetin God show you and wetin you go experience. Instead of trial and error, mistake upon mistake, or accidental success, God dey call us to simple obedience—Word-based and Spirit-led.

Think of Noah for Genesis 6:22, Abraham for Hebrews 11:8, and Peter for Luke 5:5—all of them obey even when dem no understand finish.

Good success also need courage as verse 9 talk.

To truly succeed, we must get liver believe say God presence go always dey with us wherever we go.

Courage no mean say fear no go show. E mean say we still dey move forward because we sure say God dey with us right inside the fear.

Joshua do am! He never lead nation before. He never fight battle like this before. Everything new. But him confidence no come from experience—na from the promise of God presence.

He get courage to stand firm for obedience. Make we remember say obedience sometimes no dey follow what the world like—it fit cost comfort or even bring criticism. But still, God promise stand: “I go dey with you.”

Good success na partnership with God for every area of life.

Joshua victories no be because of smart tactics. Na because he listen and follow God.

Jericho wall fall for Joshua 6 because of obedience to strange instruction—no be military strategy.

Good success dey grow when we waka with God step by step, not when we dey rush ahead of Him.

When we ask God before we take any step or do anything for every area of life—we go avoid failure and disappointment, and we go enter good success.

• Which area of my life I still dey use world standard take measure success instead of God own 

• Wetin I fit change to meditate on God Word more, speak am more, and obey am more 

• Which courageous step God dey ask me to take for this season 

PRAYER: Papa God, thank You for showing me the road to good success. Teach me to love Your Word, meditate on am, speak am, and obey am with willing heart. Give me courage to follow You boldly, knowing say You dey with me anywhere I go. Lead me into success wey dey honour You and change me from inside out, in Jesus’ name, amen.
