Visibility! Na how clear person fit see something, or how far you fit see well. Some people dey too visible where dem no suppose to, while some no visible at all. But whether person visible or no visible, e get value so? 

For our generation now, one silent but dangerous belief don rise wey say, “If people no see am, e no matter.” We dey live for world wey dey praise visibility: platform, clap, public recognition, and impact wey people fit measure. But Bible don show us say God value wetin dey hidden, wey we no dey see, and do for secret. 

God na the one wey dey bring person come out make people see according to Him own time. James 4:10 talk say, “Humble yourself… and He go lift you up.” And Proverbs 18:16 talk say, “Your gift go make way for you.” You no fit force visibility wey come from God; na God go show you when your character fit carry your calling. No be you go give yourself value by forcing people to see you. 

For 2 Corinthians 12:21–22, Paul express serious concern for the believers for Corinth. E fear say when he come, he go see say dem still dey live anyhow—inside sin, division, and impurity. Wetin stand out be say Paul no even dey talk about their public image; he dey talk about their private life. Him worry about wetin dey happen under surface—away from people eye. 

God main concern no be how visible we dey, but how faithful we dey. 

God dey see wetin people no fit see. God always dey raise people wey others overlook: David dey hide for field when God anoint am king for 1 Samuel 16:11–13. Gideon hide inside winepress when God call am mighty warrior for Judges 6:11–12. And Hannah silent prayer touch heaven before anybody notice for 1 Samuel 1:12–13. 

God pattern clear—He dey do Him greatest work for hidden places. Visibility fit impress people, but na hidden heart dey move God. 

Matthew 6:4 remind us say, the Father wey dey see secret things go reward you openly. Heaven reward system no dey based on how many people see you, but on private obedience. 

Visibility fit turn to trap if person no careful. For 2 Corinthians, Paul worry say the Corinthians dey perform spirituality for public while dem allow sin privately. Dem visible, but dem no get value as God take define value. 

Visibility fit deceive person if e no wise—e fit make you think: “If people see me dey serve, I dey grow.”  “If I dey active for ministry, my heart go dey right.” “If people clap for me, God go dey happy.”  But Bible warn say person fit get form of godliness but deny the power (2 Timothy 3:5). You fit dey active but never surrender, gifted but never transformed, visible but no valuable. 

True value dey inside faithfulness, not inside fame. Paul own ministry show suffering, humility, and obedience wey dey hidden. Many times, he dey behind the scene—dey write letters, pray, fast, and carry burden wey nobody dey see. But heaven no miss any act of faithfulness. 

True value na when: You get integrity when nobody dey watch.  You remain consistent when nobody clap.  You obey when nobody notice.  You repent even when nobody know. 

Na why Paul fear say he go find the Corinthians inside unrepentant sin. Their public gathering no mean anything if their private lives don spoil. 

God value heart pass platform. He value transformation pass performance. He value surrender pass visibility. 

Every visible miracle for Bible start with hidden obedience, because hidden work dey produces visible Fruit: Moses spend 40 years for wilderness before he face Pharaoh. 

Joseph stay prison before he enter palace. Jesus live 30 years quietly before 3 years of ministry. Those hidden seasons no be punishment—na preparation. God dey shape character for secret, so when visibility come, you no go fall under the weight. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

·        Where I don mix up visibility with value for my life or ministry? 

·        Which hidden area of my heart Holy Spirit dey call me make I surrender or correct? 

·        How I fit grow in faithfulness for the secret places wey God don trust me with? 

PRAYER: Father, teach me to value wetin You value. Purify my heart from desire for visibility, applause, or recognition. Give me strength to dey faithful for hidden places, obedient for quiet moments, and surrendered for areas wey nobody dey see. Shape my character make my life dey reflect Your glory, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
