PIDGIN WHOEVER HE CHOOSES!

Proverbs 21:1 “Evry king heart dey God hand;

just as E dey show river how e go take flow,

na so too E dey kontrol kings mind.

 

Everything and everybody for life na choice. God choose some people, some e no choose. You go either choose this or that. Choice dey always depend on how serious the matter be. Even the Lord dey weigh the heart before He make choice. 

Inside Bible, one quiet but strong truth wey dey run through say na God dey choose who He want, and Him choice no depend on physical appearance, position, or qualification, but on wetin dey inside person heart. God no just dey see heart — He dey direct am, shape am, weigh am, and choose based on wetin He know about us. 

This truth dey humble person and still dey free person. E humble us because we no fit use performance deceive God. E free us because God choice no dey limited by human expectation. 

God dey choose beyond human standard. When Samuel go anoint king for Israel, he first see Eliab height and fine body and think say na him. But God correct am for 1 Samuel 16:7. David, the small shepherd boy wey nobody reason, na him God choose. God see im heart — heart wey dey worship for secret, fight lion and bear when nobody dey look, and remain faithful even when nobody notice am. 

God choice dey shock people because He dey see wetin we no fit see — motive, purity, humility, and willingness. He dey see that hidden “yes” inside person spirit. 

God dey weigh the heart, no be the image.

For this our generation wey dey chase visibility, God still dey focused on wetin dey unseen. He no dey weigh platform, CV, or people clap. 

Take Saul as example, he look like king, tall and fine, people like am. But him heart no stable, e proud, disobedient, and insecure. Finally, God reject am because im heart no fit carry the weight of the calling (1 Samuel 15:22–23). 

When God weigh heart, no be to punish person — na to protect person. He no go put crown on top heart wey no get capacity to carry am. 

God dey direct heart to fulfil Him purpose. The most powerful and respected, dey like small stream for God hand. He fit turn am, soften am, redirect am, or even harden am for Him own purpose. 

We see am for Pharaoh matter for Exodus 9:12, God harden him heart make He show Him power. 

We see am with Cyrus for Ezra 1:1 — God stir him heart to rebuild the temple. 

We see am again with Nebuchadnezzar for Daniel 4:34–37 — God humble him pride until he recognise say heaven rule pass all. 

If God fit control king heart, He fit control the heart of anybody wey get link to your destiny — mentor, leader, helper, gatekeeper or even enemy. God sovereignty no dey limited by anybody will. 

God choice dey rooted for Him mercy as Romans 9:15 talk. E no dey random, e dey merciful. God dey choose from eternal wisdom, no be from our short time performance. 

That one mean say you no need struggle for God attention, compete for Him favour, or fear say He go forget you. If God don choose you, nobody fit reject you. If God open door for you, nobody fit lock am (Revelation 3:7–8). 

Since na God dey weigh the heart, our own responsibility no be to impress Am but to surrender. 

Yielded heart na chosen heart. 

Humble heart na lifted heart. 

Pure heart na usable heart. So, take care of your heart well. 

David pray for Psalm 51:10, say make God create clean heart for am. This na the posture God dey honour — no be perfection, but surrender. 

When your heart align with God, Him choosing go just flow naturally from Him pleasure. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

·       Which part of my heart God dey tell me make I surrender or purify so He fit trust me with more? 

·       I dey focus more on my outward appearance or the transformation wey dey happen inside me? 

·       Which area I need trust God sovereignty to direct the hearts of people wey connect to my purpose? 

PRAYER: Father, You dey weigh heart and You dey choose according to Your wisdom. Search me, purify me, and shape my heart make e reflect Your desire. Redirect anything for me wey no honour You. Help me trust Your choice, Your timing, and Your sovereignty. Make my heart become place where Your will fit rest, in Jesus name, Amen.
