CHILD-FRIENDLY BULLSEYE!
Philippians 3:14 GNT
So I run straight toward the
goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the
life above.
A bullseye is the centre of
a target—the place you aim for. When you “hit the bullseye,” it means you got
it right.
For Christians, the bullseye
is God’s will. It is living the way God wants, not just doing what looks good.
In archery, you hit the bullseye by focusing and aiming on purpose. In the same
way, we follow God by keeping our eyes on Him.
Paul says we must aim for
the “high calling” God has for us. This means loving God, obeying Him, and not
getting distracted.
Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us
that God guides us when we trust Him.
Jesus also stayed focused on
God’s will every day (John 4:34 and Luke 22:42).
David prayed for God to
teach him to do His will (Psalm 143:10).
Noah obeyed exactly what God
said (Genesis 6:22).
Mary said yes to God’s plan
(Luke 1:38).
They all hit the bullseye by
obeying God.
Missing the bullseye is easy
because life is full of distractions—fear, pride, trying to please people, or
chasing things that are not God’s plan. But God helps us refocus. Psalm 32:8
says He will teach and guide us.
Living in God’s will gives
peace, direction, and purpose.
Bullseye is not being
perfect—it is being obedient.
Not doing everything, but
doing the right things.
Not being impressive, but
being surrendered to God.
God wants us to hit the
bullseye. He guides our steps and helps us aim our lives in the right
direction.
