CHILD-FRIENDLY COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM — BE SEPARATE!

2 Corinthians 6:17 GNT

And so the Lord says, "You must leave them and separate yourselves from them. Have nothing to do with what is unclean, and I will accept you.

 

Sometimes God asks His children to live differently so we can follow Him more closely. Being “separate” does not mean thinking we are better than others. It means choosing God’s way, even when the world chooses something else. When God says, “Come out,” He is really saying, Come closer to Me.

To “come out” means stepping away from things, places, or friendships that pull us away from God. It is not about rejecting people—it is about rejecting wrong choices, wrong attitudes, and wrong habits.

God told Abraham in Genesis 12:1 to leave his home so He could bless him and lead him. Abraham’s journey with God started when he obeyed.

God wanted Israel to be different so other nations could see His goodness. When they stayed close to God, they grew strong according to Leviticus 20:26 and Deuteronomy 7:3–6.

Daniel in Daniel 1:8 lived in a land with many wrong practices, but he chose to obey God. God honoured his courage and blessed him.

Jesus was kind to everyone, but He never copied their wrong behaviour. He lived a holy and pure life.

The early Church in Acts 2–4) were the first Christians who stood out because of their love, joy, and unity. Their lives showed people who Jesus was.

Being separate means:

1.   Making good choices

2.   Staying away from things that harm your heart

3.   Keeping strong boundaries

4.   Living by God’s Word

5.   Being brave enough to be different

Why does God call us out? God separates us so we can grow, stay pure, understand His voice, shine His light, and be ready for His plans.

PRAYER: Father, help me walk away from anything that pulls me from You. Make me holy and fully Yours. Amen.
