CHILD-FRIENDLY FORGIVENESS – THE DOORWAY TO FREEDOM!
Ephesians 4:32 GNT
Instead, be kind and
tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you
through Christ.
Forgiveness is a wonderful
and powerful gift from God. It shows His love for us. All through the Bible, we
see God forgiving people—not because they are perfect, but because He is kind
and loving. Forgiving others can be hard, but God wants us to forgive so our
hearts can be free.
When Peter asked Jesus how
many times we should forgive, Jesus said “seventy times seven.” Jesus didn’t
mean we should count. He meant we should forgive again and again, just like God
forgives us.
Joseph is a great example.
His brothers hurt him, sold him, and treated him badly. But when Joseph became
a leader and saw them again, he forgave them and said, “You meant evil against
me, but God meant it for good.” Joseph let go of anger so he could walk in
God’s plan for his life.
Jesus is the greatest
example of forgiveness. Even while He was on the cross, He prayed, “Father,
forgive them.” Because of Jesus, we receive forgiveness we could never earn.
Forgiveness does not mean
pretending nothing happened. It means choosing to let go of the hurt and giving
it to God. Sometimes the other person may not say sorry—but you can still
forgive. Forgiveness protects your heart and keeps you free.
Unforgiveness is like a
prison. It keeps you stuck and steals your joy. But when you forgive, you feel
lighter, happier, and closer to God.
God will help you forgive.
The Holy Spirit gives you strength to let go and walk in peace.
Forgiveness doesn’t erase
the past, but it helps you move forward with hope.
