CHILD-FRIENDLY ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE!

Ephesians 3:17 GNT

And I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love,

 

Paul prays that Jesus will live in our hearts and that we will be rooted and grounded in love. 

Being rooted means God’s love makes us strong on the inside, like a tree with deep roots. 

Being grounded means God’s love is the solid rock we stand on.

When we trust God, we become like a strong tree planted right next to a river.

The tree’s roots drink lots of water, so even when the sun is hot or there’s no rain, the tree doesn’t dry out.

Its leaves stay green, and it keeps growing good fruit.

That’s what happens to us when we stay close to God.

When our hearts are rooted in His love, we don’t fall apart when things get hard.

We can stay calm, hopeful, and strong—even when we’re waiting a long time or feeling disappointed—because God is taking care of us from the inside out.

When we stay close to Jesus, His love helps us not be afraid, not give up, and not be shaken. 

He wants to live in every part of our hearts, not just a little part. 

His love heals us, guides us, and helps us love others.

Mary sat at Jesus’ feet. 

Joseph trusted God even in hard times. 

John knew he was loved by Jesus. 

We can live this way too—safe, strong, and steady in God’s love.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

• Where do I need God’s love to grow deeper in me? 

• Am I building my life on fear or on God’s love? 

• What can I do each day to make room for Jesus in my heart?

PRAYER: Lord God, plant me deep in Your love. Live in my heart and make me strong. Help me stay in Your love every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
