Quality control fit sound like big business grammar, but the heart inside na excellence, integrity, seriousness for work, and accountability even as deep for inside Bible. From Genesis reach Revelation, God show Himself as God of order, precision and intention. E no just care say we something; but how dem do am. For believers, quality no be only office standard; na spiritual attitude wey reflect the character of the God we dey serve.

Na God first set the standard of quality. Genesis 1 open with rhythm of creation and inspection. After each work, Bible say, “God see say e good.” God no just create; He check am, weigh am, and approve am. Na the first picture of quality control for Bible be this: produce → examine → confirm. This one show say excellence no dey happen by mistake; e dey intentional and measured. If God fit evaluate Him own work, how much more we wey be Him image-bearers suppose handle our work with care and reflection. 

When God give Moses instruction to build the tabernacle, He no leave am to chance. He call Bezalel and Oholiab — men wey Bible describe as skilled, wise-hearted and full with the Spirit of God for Exodus 31:1–6. Their workmanship no be anyhow; na Spirit-enabled excellence. This one show say for God kingdom, excellence get value. Skill matter, training matter, attention to detail matter, and the right person to do the right work matter. Quality control start from conviction say God deserve our best, no be leftover.

One clear Bible parallel to modern quality control na God command make dem use honest scale and correct measure, as we see for Proverbs 11:1 and Leviticus 19:35–36. For Old Testament time, fake scale na way to cheat customer. Today, e fit be to cut corners, produce work wey no get standard, or to bend ethics because of convenience or profit. God call Him people to integrity for every process. So quality control no be just about final result; e touch the honesty of the journey.

Bible also talk about diligence and accountability. Proverbs warn us about the result of lazy or careless work — “lazy hand make person poor” and “the one wey dey careless for him work be like person wey destroy” for Proverbs 10:4; 18:9. Jesus repeat this principle for parable of wise and foolish builders for Matthew 7:24–27. One builder dig deep, lay correct foundation; the other choose easy way. When storm come, the quality of their work show clearly. Quality control no be perfectionism; na responsibility — to build something wey go stand pressure, scrutiny and time. 

Jesus talk for Luke 16:10 say, “Whoever dey faithful for small thing, go dey faithful for big thing.” This na the heart of consistent quality. Excellence no dey prove only for big stage; e dey show for small, quiet, everyday task. The believer wey serious for small assignment dey show say him character fit carry bigger responsibility.

Paul put everything together for Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, do am with your whole heart, as to God and not to men”. When we see our work as worship, quality go move from office requirement to spiritual sacrifice. To work with excellence na to honour God; to cut corners na to misrepresent Am. Quality control come be like spiritual discipline wey dey train us to become faithful steward of God resources. Na our way to say, “Lord, You deserve my best.”

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

·       Where for my life or work I don dey tempted to cut corner instead of give God my best? 

·       How I fit build habit of excellence and integrity for the small, hidden tasks for my daily life? 

·       Wetin go change if I begin see every assignment — big or small — as worship to God? 

PRAYER: Lord, You be God of excellence, order and beauty. Teach me to reflect Your character for everything wey I do. Help me work with integrity, diligence and joy. Strengthen my hand to produce wetin go honour You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
