PIDGIN REVIVED, RESTORED, RECHARGED!

Isaiah 40:29  “E dey give strent and pawa to pipol wey dey weak.

 

Almost everybody wey get mobile phone get power bank, because you no ever know when battery go low or die and light no go dey. Na so e be for our spirit too; e need charging and recharging. In fact, we gets stay permanently connected to the “power bank” of the Holy Spirit so that we no go dey on spiritual low battery. 

This three‑fold declaration describe the spiritual journey wey every believer dey pass, especially when life don drain our strength, zeal and focus. Why we need am? Because life dey happen! Situations and challenges dey wey dey suck our stamina, strength, zeal and vision. 

All of us need regeneration and revival and restoration to fit continue to run purposefully, fruitfully and productively for every area of life. Psalm 19:7 say, “The law of the Lord perfect, e dey restore person life.” Na only this power  sure, correct, pure, holy and true — fit revive dry energy and give life again. 

Revived — na when God breathe life back into wetin don weak. 

Restored — na when God arrange back and refill every empty area. 

Recharged — na when God empower you fresh for the next season. 

This one no be one‑time thing; na process: 

Life dey drain us → God dey restore us → the Spirit dey recharge us. 

Person wey need recharge must first know say e need am! Jesus dey offer us this recharge for Mark 6:30–32. He tell the disciples, as He still dey tell us today: “Make una come aside by yourselves go quiet place make una rest small.” We too suppose dey take time comot  to chop, rest, relax and gather strength again for the next level and season of life: for work, ministry, family and every other thing wey need energy. 

Many of us just dey come and go like the apostles that time, and Jesus dey tell us the same thing: come out from crowd small, rest and recharge. Him reaction show say we no suppose allow activity — even spiritual activity — carry us reach the point wey we no recharge our spiritual battery again. 

Jesus know say after heavy labour for field, we go need recharge to dey refreshed and strong for greater productivity. Phone battery fit run down if you no dey charge am regularly. If battery die because e no see charge, the phone go useless — e no go fit serve, until dem recharge am again. 

Proverbs 20:29 say the glory of youth na their strength. Isaiah 40:30–31 add say even young people fit tire, fall and run out of steam; meaning say dem too need spiritual strength. If youth fit exhaust, old person no fit boast say e get strength wey no dey finish. So everybody fit run down; nobody suppose deceive himself say him strength no dey finish. 

We gets dey feed ourselves daily with the Word of God to recharge our spiritual battery — e must be priority. For Matthew 4:4, as Jesus quote Deuteronomy 8:3, He say, “Man no go live by bread alone, but by every word wey dey come out from God mouth.” Na sign say natural food no fit supply spiritual strength or recharge lost power. 

We must invest time for personal prayer because, as 1 Samuel 2:9 talk, “by strength no man go prevail.” No allow busy schedule push prayer comot your life. 

Still join body with spiritually alive and vibrant people wey go help you grow or keep you spiritually awake — as una dey charge each other together. 

Your battery full and no need charge, or you dey run out of juice and dey urgently need recharge? 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

·       In which area of my life I don notice say my spiritual “battery” don dey low, and wetin the Holy Spirit dey tell me to change so I fit be revived? 

·       I don allow busyness — even spiritual activity — replace the rest, retreat and personal time with Jesus wey I need for true restoration? 

·       Which daily practice (Word, prayer, fellowship) I need to strengthen so I go remain spiritually charged and connected to the “power bank” of the Holy Spirit? 

PRAYER: Lord, when I dey run low, help me know how and when to top up my spiritual battery and be fully recharged for Your glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
