Hebrews 11:3 “Na thru faith wi take undastand sey, God kreate evritin with en word. So di tins wey wi dey si so, na God make dem from wetin dem nor dey si.

 

From the very beginning of Bible, God show us one deep truth about word: word dey create picture, e dey shape imagination, and e dey give form to wetin never show. Even though Bible no talk am with the same English “words produce images,” na the same truth dey run through all the Scriptures.

When we join am with Proverbs 18:21, we see clear say word get power to produce life or death — the picture fit dey build or destroy.

For Genesis 1, we see the example well well. Before anything exist, darkness full everywhere, no shape, no form. Then God talk: “Make light appear,” and light appear! 

God no use hand build creation; na Him word e use. When God speak, things begin appear one by one — light, sky, land, plants, animals, and finally human being. E talk, and e happen.

This no be just story of creation, na revelation of how God dey work. And because God make us for Him (Genesis 1:26–27), our own words too carry small version of that power. We no dey create world like God, but we dey create atmosphere, expectation, and imagination wey dey shape our life.

Everything for life start like seed. Word na like seed wey plant picture. When person dey hear, “Them love you,” e go begin see picture of love inside heart. But if e dey hear, “You no go ever better,” bad image go begin grow inside am.

Jesus use farming parable explain this thing for Matthew 13:1–23. The seed na the Word. Seed small, but e get future inside. When Word enter heart, e dey grow image of faith, hope, identity, and destiny.

Word no ever neutral. E dey build or scatter, nourish or poison, bring light or darkness.

Faith too dey start with picture inside heart. As Romans 10:17 talk, faith dey come by hearing the Word of Christ. Faith no be just agreement — na to see wetin God talk before e happen. Hearing God Word dey help you see Him plan clearly.

Abraham na perfect example. For Genesis 15:5, God tell am make e look up! God no just give am promise, He give am picture. Every time Abraham see the stars, e remember say the future go still come. The word produce image, and the image produce faith.

Paul talk for 2 Corinthians 10:5 say make we capture every thought — because thought dey form image, and image fit turn to stronghold, either godly or bad.

Na why Bible tell us repeatedly make we meditate on God Word —Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2. Meditation no be empty mind o; na to fill your mind with God picture. When we meditate on God promise, we dey allow Him Word repaint our heart.

Jesus use word paint plenty picture. 

E use parable teach like this: 

- One shepherd wey leave 99 sheep go find one 

- One papa wey run go hug e prodigal pikin 

- Mustard seed wey grow into big tree 

- Lamp wey dey shine for stand

Jesus sabi say people dey remember picture more than sentence. When we speak encouragement, we dey paint hope. 

When we speak Scripture, we dey paint faith. 

When we speak blessing, we dey paint identity. 

When we speak negativity, we dey paint fear. 

When we speak doubt, we dey paint limitation. 

James 3:1–12 warn say tongue get power — e fit set direction of your life.

Word na tool wey get creative power. Use your word build world inside people, no use am destroy.

·       Which kind inner picture words don plant for your life — and which one God need to repaint for you through His Word? 

·       How you fit use your word this week paint picture of life and hope for other people heart? 

·       Which Bible promise you go meditate on until e form new vision inside you?

PRAYER: Papa God, thank You for the gift of word and the power wey dey inside. Help me dey talk like You — with truth, love, and purpose. Repair and repaint every broken image inside my heart with Your Word. Use my mouth plant hope, faith, and healing for other people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
