CHILD-FRIENDLY BIBLICAL MEDITATION!

Philippians 4:8 GNT

In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

Meditation means thinking carefully about something again and again. Some people think meditation is only for quiet exercises like yoga, but the Bible teaches us a different kind of meditation.

Biblical meditation is when we think deeply about God’s Word so we can understand it and grow closer to Him. In Joshua 1:9, God tells us to meditate on His Word so we can learn from it and obey Him. Reading the Bible once is not enough—we must think about it often. Reading shows us the truth, but meditation helps the truth stay in our hearts.

Psalm 1:2 says we should enjoy God’s Word and think about it day and night. When we meditate on the Bible, we focus on a verse so God can teach us, guide us, and help us make good choices.

Meditating on God’s Word changes us on the inside and outside. It helps us become more like Jesus. Philippians 4:8 teaches us to think about things that are good, pure, and pleasing to God.

David did this in Psalm 143:4–5. When he felt sad and tired, he remembered all the good things God had done. Thinking about God’s goodness gave him strength.

Psalm 119:11 says we should treasure God’s Word in our hearts so we won’t sin. When we meditate, God’s Word becomes precious to us and helps us obey Him.

Meditation helps us speak good words, pray the right prayers, and live in a way that pleases God. Psalm 19:14 reminds us that both our thoughts and our words should make God happy.
