CHILD-FRIENDLY IT BELONGS TO MY FATHER!
Psalm 24:1-10 GNT
The world and all that is in
it belong to the LORD; the earth and all who live on it are his. [2] He built
it on the deep waters beneath the earth and laid its foundations in the ocean
depths. [3] Who has the right to go up the LORD's hill? Who may enter his holy
Temple? [4] Those who are pure in act and in thought, who do not worship idols
or make false promises. [5] The LORD will bless them and save them; God will
declare them innocent. [6] Such are the people who come to God, who come into
the presence of the God of Jacob. [7] Fling wide the gates, open the ancient
doors, and the great king will come in. [8] Who is this great king? He is the
LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, victorious in battle. [9] Fling wide the
gates, open the ancient doors, and the great king will come in. [10] Who is
this great king? The triumphant LORD-he is the great king!
Psalm 24 teaches us
something amazing: everything in the whole world belongs to God! The mountains,
the oceans, the animals, the people—everything was made by Him. Because God
created the earth, it all belongs to Him. No one else can claim it, not even the
enemy.
God made the light, the sky,
the land, and every living thing. He made you too. Nothing in this world made
itself—God made it all with His power and love. That means no place is too dark
for God to shine His light, and no problem is too big for Him to fix.
When we say, “It belongs to
my Father,” we are saying something true and powerful. God is the King over
everything. He rules over nations, leaders, time, seasons, and every part of
life. Even when the world feels confusing, God is still in control. His throne
never shakes.
Because God owns everything,
that means you belong to Him too. He calls you His child. Isaiah 43:1 says,
“You are Mine.” You are safe in His hands, and no one can take you away from
Him.
Psalm 24 also reminds us
that we can come close to God. We can stand in His presence because Jesus makes
our hearts clean. God welcomes us like a loving Father.
The psalm ends by calling
God the “King of glory,” strong and mighty in battle. This means you never have
to be afraid. When you face challenges, remember: the world belongs to your
Father, and He fights for you.
You can live with confidence
because your Father owns everything—and He loves you.
