PIDGIN BIBLICAL MEDITATION!
Philippians 4:8 “ Finally, my brodas and sistas, tins wey bi true; wey get respet; wey fine; wey pipol dey tok good about; wey good well-well; wey rish to praiz, na dis kind tins una suppose to dey tink about.”
Meditation mean different
things to different people. Some people dey see am as eastern religion, yoga,
or just relaxation, but Bible give us different meaning for meditation.
Meditation na to dey think
deeply about something, to dey turn am again and again for your mind with
serious focus and understanding.
Bible first encourage us for
Joshua 1:8 make we meditate on God Word — make we focus well well on am with
expectation say God go give us deeper revelation as we dey think am
through.
We no suppose read Bible
once come move on. We suppose meditate on am. That one mean repetition,
consistency, and focus.
Why? Because reading just
introduce truth, but meditation na wetin dey plant am inside you.
Habit dey form through
repeated action, and na so belief too dey form, just like Proverbs 23:7 talk
am.
Psalm 1:2 tell us say make
we delight for the law of the Lord and meditate on am day and night —
always.
To meditate on the Word of
God mean say you go concentrate on one scripture, dey think am well well so you
fit get understanding, answer, or revelation wey go help your faith journey. As
believers, everything we dey face for life suppose carry desire to please
God.
Other kinds of meditation
fit help person change small habits or lifestyle, but meditation on God Word
dey change person completely — spiritually and even physically — and e dey help
us grow into maturity.
When we meditate on correct
things according to Philippians 4:9, e dey help us live kingdom-minded life and
practise wetin we learn.
Biblical meditation also
mean say we dey remember wetin God don do for our life and dey think on His
promises.
When David weak for Psalm
143:4-5, e no give up. Instead, e remember wetin God don do before by
meditating on His goodness. From there, e get strength and courage to
continue.
When soul don tire, e
suppose push us make we thirst for God — because na only Him fit refresh and
give new strength.
Na deep meditation on God’s
Word dey help us achieve wetin Psalm 119:11 talk — to keep (or treasure) God’s
Word inside our heart so we no go sin against Him. CSB translation use the word
“treasure,” and na true — through meditation, God’s Word become treasure inside
us.
As we treasure God’s Word,
we begin love His ways, instructions, and principles. And according to James
1:22, we no go just be hearers, but doers of the Word.
Meditation na very important
part of Christian life. One writer talk say, “Bible no be only to inform you,
but to transform you.”
As we dey meditate, we begin
understand God better and appreciate Him wonders, like Psalm 119:27 talk.
Meditation make us think
deeply on scriptures, ask God important questions, and practise wetin we learn
— and that one dey build our faith and lead us to praise God.
You no need any guru or
expert for biblical meditation. Bible full of stories and pictures wey you fit
think on. Plenty things dey to meditate on, as our text encourage us.
Through meditation, we dey fill
our heart, then our mouth go begin speak Godly confessions, declarations, and
prayers. This one go begin change our character and attitude, and people around
us go see the difference.
We must meditate on correct,
scriptural, and character-building things — not negative or evil things. Psalm
19:14 talk am clearly — make both the words of our mouth and the meditation of
our heart always please God.

don do before take give me strength during hard times, just like David take

The things wey I dey think
for my heart and the words wey I dey speak — dem dey align with wetin go please
God?
