PIDGIN DON’T BE HINDERED!
Jenesis 24:56 “ But di savant tell dem, “Make una nor keep mi, God don make my journey get head. Make una let mi go meet my oga naw.”
To hinder mean to make
progress hard, block movement, or put obstacle for somebody path wey go cause
delay, frustration, or make person stumble. Jesus use this word when Him
correct Him disciples for Luke 18:15–16, he tell dem make dem no stop the
children to come meet Am. Him mean say, “No block, delay, or interfere with
their access to Me because of your own reasoning or opinion.”
Sadly, many believers today
dey experience hindrance for this kind way. People dey delayed, discouraged, or
stopped from fulfilling wetin God don put for their heart because of another
person influence, expectation, or interference. Sometimes, the hindrance come
from inside—feelings of inadequacy, fear, lack of readiness, or sense say you
no qualify, fit stop person from entering wetin God don already empower am to
do.
So, the question be: Wetin
dey hinder you from following God fully?
You dey experience delay for
some areas of your life?
You don allow somebody voice
or attitude slow you down?
For Numbers 22:16, Balak
urge Balaam make nothing no hinder am from curse Israel. Balak use urgency and
pressure as tool of manipulation. This remind us say hindrance no always
accidental—sometimes na intentional, strategic, and spirituallly
motivated.
Something or somebody dey hinder
you from serving God with your whole heart?
Life pressure, distraction,
or carnal pursuit don become obstacle for your spiritual race?
You be like Balaam, dey stay
too long for places or relationships wey dey delay your obedience?
For Genesis 24, Abraham
servant finish him assignment to find wife for Isaac. Once Rebekah gree to go
with am, he no see reason to stay for Laban house again. But Laban, because of
personal gain, try delay am. The servant, himself, dey spiritually alert and
refuse make dem hinder am. E understand timing, purpose, and obedience.
Jesus warn Him disciples for
John 16:1 so dem no go stumble. Hindrance happen when we drift commot from the
path of righteousness, as Romans 16:17 caution. To avoid hinderance, we must
know where we stand spiritually and remain sensitive to Holy Spirit
leading.
Enemy dey always place
roadblock for our path—discouragement, distraction, temptation, unhealthy
relationship, fear, and even opportunity wey look good but no be God own.
Hebrews 12:1 tell us make we lay aside every weight and di sin wey dey entangle
us. This mean make we hold tightly to our relationship with God and refuse to
allow anything slow our spiritual progress.
Sometimes hindrance dey
subtle. Colossians 3:5 warn us about idols—things like money, fame,
relationship, or desire wey quietly take God place for our heart. Anything wey
dey compete with God become hindrance.
Abraham understand this
well. When the Hittites offer am free land as burial place, he refuse. Even
though e look like blessing, he discern am as possible hindrance. Some “free
gifts” get hidden cost. Some opportunities na trap. Some open doors na
distraction. We must weigh the cost of every decision, so we no go entangle
ourselves inside things wey go delay destiny.
Like Abraham servant, we
must know when assignment don finish and when e be time to move on. To stay
longer than God intend fit become hindrance. Remaining for relationships,
environment, or mindset wey God don release us from fit delay progress and
drain spiritual strength.
Beloved, no let hinderance
stop you. No allow fear, people, circumstances, or enemy strategy stop you.
Move forward with clarity, courage, and conviction. When God say go, no linger.
When God say release, no hold am. When God say rise, no sitdown.
