PIDGIN IT BELONGS TO MY FATHER!

Psalm 24

Na God get di eart and evritin wey dey inside. Di world and evribody wey dey stay inside, na en own too. 2 E build di eart foundashon on-top sea kon make am stand on-top wota. 3 Na who go fit klimb go God mountin? Na who go fit stand for en Holy Place? 4 Na only doz wey get klean hand and pure heart; pipol wey nor dey serve juju or lie or do bad tins. 5 Dem go get God blessing kon bi di God wey dey save dem, friend. 6 Dis kind pipol dey go find and woship am, bikos na-im bi di Oga wey bi Jakob God.

7Naw, evry old gate, make una open! Evry old door, make una open, so dat di King wey get glory go enter inside. 8 Who bi dis King wey get glory? Na God wey dey strong and get pawa well-well; God wey get pawa to fight war. 9 Naw, evry old gate, make una open! Evry old door, make una open, so dat di King wey get glory go enter inside.

10Who bi dis King wey get glory? Na di Oga God of all ogas; Na-im bi di King wey get glory.

Psalm 24 begin with one bold statement wey go reset our understanding of ownership, authority, and identity: “The earth and everything belong to God!”

Genesis 1 talk say God create the earth, so legally e belong to Am, even though Satan dey behave like say na him be master of the universe.

This no be exaggeration. Na legal statement. Na spiritual constitution. Na reminder say everything we fit see and everything we no fit see—land, nations, systems, resources, seasons, and souls—belong to God by right of creation and sovereignty. When David write these words, e no just dey admire nature; e dey proclaim the Fatherhood and Kingship of God over all things.

The Father naim get everything for creation. Verse 2 continue say, “For He found on the seas and establish am on the waters.”

Ownership dey come from origin. God own the earth because He make am. Him speak light come into existence for Genesis 1:3. Him shape human beings from dust for Genesis 2:7. Him stretch the heavens like curtain, as Isaiah 40:22 talk. Nothing for creation create itself; everything na God create dem.

When you know say something belong to you, you know say nobody fit take am from you. This mean say no territory too dark for Him light. No system dey too broken for Him restoration. No life too lost for Him mercy.

When you say, “E belong to my Father,” you no dey just make emotional statement—you dey declare spiritual reality wey Bible support.

The Father own everything by sovereignty! God ownership no be passive one; e dey active. Him dey rule wetin Him own, and Psalm 103:19 talk say, “The Lord established Him throne for heaven, and Him kingdom rules over all.”

This mean say the Father no be absentee landlord. He be reigning King. Him authority reach over: Kings and kingdoms, as Proverbs 21:1 talk. Wealth and resources, as Haggai 2:8 talk. Time and seasons, as Daniel 2:21 talk. Life and breath, as Acts 17:25 talk.

Even when world dey look chaotic, God sovereignty still dey intact. Earth fit shake, but Him throne no dey shake. Never!

If the Father own everything, that include me too—then I belong to Him.

Psalm 24 no be only about creation; e be about relationship. Di God wey own the earth also claim us as Him children.

Isaiah 43:1 talk, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.” Na so! I belong to the Father.

To say, “E belong to my Father” na also to say “I belong to Am.” And belonging bring identity, security, inheritance, and purpose.

Jesus still confirm this for John 10:29: “My Father… is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of His hand.” You dey the hand of the One wey own everything.

Since e belong to my Father, I fit approach Him.

Verse 3 shift from ownership go access: “Who fit climb the hill of the Lord? Who fit stand for Him holy place?” No be everybody, no be perfect people, but those wey clean as verse 4 talk: “He who has clean hands and a pure heart…”

Through Christ, we dey made clean according to Hebrews 10:22.

Through grace, we dey welcomed.

Through mercy, we dey sustained.

The One wey own everything dey invite us into Him presence—not as stranger, but as sons and daughters.

Because e belong to my Father, I fit expect victory.

Psalm 24 end with victorious announcement: “Lift up your heads… that the King of glory may come in!” as verse 7 talk.

The King of glory no weak. He no dey fear. Him no dey defeated. “The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”

If the earth belong to your Father, then your battle no be to fight from fear but from confidence. You dey stand for your Father ground. You dey pray from your Father authority. You dey expect your Father outcome.

Na why David fit face Goliath.

Na why Moses fit confront Pharaoh.

Na why Esther fit stand before king.

Na why Paul fit preach before Caesar.

Dem know say: “This world belong to my Father.” And so do you.
