CHILD-FRIENDLY BLASPHEMY!

Luke 12:10 GNT

"Whoever says a word against the Son of Man can be forgiven; but whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

 

Blasphemy means not respecting God or treating Him in a wrong way. It happens when people speak badly about God, joke about Him, or act as if they are more important than Him. God made everything, so He deserves our honour, respect, and love.

The Bible teaches us not to misuse God’s name (Exodus 20:7). This means we should not say God’s name carelessly or claim to belong to Him while doing bad things. When we say we are God’s children, our behaviour should show kindness, honesty, and obedience.

Some people think they can replace God or act like they are in charge of everything. The Bible shows us that when people try to take God’s place, they are wrong, and God corrects them (Ezekiel 28:2). Only God is God.

Jesus was accused of blasphemy because He said He was God’s Son. But Jesus was telling the truth. He came to show us who God really is and how to live in a way that pleases Him.

Even when life is hard, we should not speak badly about God. Job trusted God even when he was sad and hurting (Job 2:8–10). God wants us to talk to Him honestly but always with respect.

We honour God when we speak kindly, obey His Word, and remember that He is holy.
