CHILD-FRIENDLY THE COVENANT KEEPER!

Genesis 17:2 GNT

I will make my covenant with you and give you many descendants."

 

God is a Covenant Keeper. This means God always keeps His promises. A covenant is a very strong promise that God makes, and He never breaks it. Unlike people, God does not forget, change His mind, or fail to keep His word.

In the Bible, God tells us, “I will be their God, and they will be My people” (Genesis 17:7). This shows us that God wants a close relationship with His people. He loves us and wants us to belong to Him forever.

God made special promises, called covenants, with people in the Bible. He promised Noah that He would never destroy the earth with a flood again. He promised Abraham that his family would be blessed and grow into many nations. He promised David that a King from his family would rule forever—and that promise was fulfilled in Jesus.

God keeps His promises because He never lies. The Bible says God is always truthful and faithful. Even if His promises take time to happen, we can trust that they will surely come to pass. God’s Word always does what He says it will do.

The wonderful thing is that God does not ask us to sign a promise with Him. He signs the covenant Himself. He swears by His own name, which means His promises are safe and sure. God is faithful even when people make mistakes.

When we remember how God kept His promises in the Bible, it helps us trust Him with our own lives. God is always ready to keep every promise He has made to us.

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for always keeping Your promises. Help me to trust You, believe Your Word, and remember that You never fail. Thank You for loving me and being my Covenant Keeper. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
