CHILD-FRIENDLY FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH!

1 Timothy 6:12 GNT

Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witnesses.

Paul told Timothy to “fight the good fight of faith” because following Jesus is not always easy. Faith is not sitting still or doing nothing. Faith is a fight — a daily choice to stand for God, even when things around us try to pull us away from Him. The Christian life is not a playground; it is a battleground. Every believer is part of this fight.

Timothy was young and sometimes afraid. He lived in a place where people taught wrong things and tried to confuse believers. But Paul did not tell him to run away. He told him to fight — not with fists, but with strong faith; not with anger, but with courage; not with fear, but with patience.

The Bible teaches that we face three enemies:

- The world and its pressures

- Our own weaknesses

- The devil, who tries to deceive us

These enemies try to make us doubt God. That is why Paul said, “Fight.” Faith must be protected and strengthened.

Paul also said, “Lay hold on eternal life,” meaning we must keep our eyes on what matters most. Peter walked on water until he looked at the storm. The Israelites saw giants instead of God’s promise. Martha was too busy to sit with Jesus. Faith grows when we focus on Jesus.

Faith is not just feeling strong or thinking positive. Faith comes from God’s Word. Jesus used Scripture to defeat the devil. David encouraged himself by remembering God’s promises. Joshua was told to read the Word, day and night.

The Bible is full of people who fought the good fight: Abraham, Hannah, Daniel, the woman with the issue of blood, and Paul. They trusted God even when life was hard.

The fight of faith is good because God fights with us, and victory is already ours through Jesus.
