CHILD-FRIENDLY POSITION TO POSSESS!

Ephesians 2:4-6 GNT

But God's mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great, [5] that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved. [6] In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world.

 

God wants His children to be in the right place so they can enjoy the good things He has prepared for them. To “position” means where you stand or sit. To “possess” means to receive or take what belongs to you. When we know our position in Christ, we can enjoy our possessions in Him.

Before we knew Jesus, the Bible says we were spiritually dead. But because God loves us so much, He made us alive again through Jesus. When Jesus rose from the dead, God raised us up with Him. The Bible tells us that God has seated us with Christ in heavenly places. That means we are close to Jesus and share in His victory already.

When we come to Jesus, our position changes. We move from being sinners to being forgiven children of God. We become part of God’s family. We are no longer strangers, but members of His household. This special position gives us confidence and courage.

David knew his position in God when he faced Goliath. He did not run away because he trusted God and knew that God was with him. When we know who we are in Christ, we don’t have to be afraid when problems come. We can stand firm and trust God.

Jesus also showed us that the right position includes humility. He served others and taught His followers to learn and obey God. When we stay close to Jesus, listen to Him, and trust Him, we can overcome challenges.

God has already given us many blessings in Christ. When we stay in our position—trusting, believing, and obeying Him—we can possess all that He has promised us.

·       What does it mean to be seated with Jesus?

·       How can knowing your position in Christ help you be brave?

·       What is something God wants you to trust Him for?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for making me alive in Jesus and giving me a special place with Him. Help me to trust You, stand strong, and enjoy all You have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
