PIDGIN CONDEMNATION!
John 3:17 “God nor send en pikin kom kondemn di pipol wey dey inside di world, but make e kom save dem.
Condemnation na one of the
oldest and strongest weapons wey the enemy dey use. E dey whisper shame, dey
remind person of failure, and dey magnify weakness until believer begin feel
say e no worthy to stand before God. But Bible clear: condemnation no be the
language of the Father. Na the language of the accuser. To understand the
difference na key to waka in freedom, confidence, and spiritual authority.
Paul talk boldly for Romans
8:1 say, “There is therefore no condemnation for dem wey in Christ
Jesus.” This one no be suggestion; na legal verdict. Gavel don fall. Case don
close. Charges don drop because the blood of Jesus don speak better word.
Condemnation dey try resurrect wetin God don bury.
Condemnation no dey correct
person; e dey crush person. E no dey convict; e dey accuse. E no dey lead to
repentance; e dey lead to despair. When Adam and Eve sin, shame push dem hide
for Genesis 3:8–10. Condemnation always dey push people away from God, dey make
dem believe say God presence na courtroom instead of refuge.
But conviction different.
Conviction na the gentle but firm nudge of the Holy Spirit wey dey lead person
back to God, no be away from Him. Conviction dey talk, “This thing wrong, but
here be the way home.” Condemnation dey talk, “You wrong, and no road back.”
One dey restore, the other dey imprison.
Di religious leaders drag the woman wey dem catch for adultery
for John 8:1–11 come meet Jesus, no be to restore
her, but to condemn her. Dem use her sin as weapon to shame her. But Jesus
answer with mercy: “I no condemn you: go, and no sin again.” See the
order — mercy first, transformation next. Condemnation for don stone her; grace
empower her to change.
Peter and Judas both fail
Jesus. Both deny am in different ways. But their response show the difference
between condemnation and conviction. Judas allow condemnation push am into
despair and death (Matthew 27:3–5). Peter, even though broken, follow
conviction — e lead am to repentance and restoration (John 21:15–19). Same
failure, different voices, different destinies.
The prodigal son for Luke
15:11–24 rehearse condemnation on his way home: “I no worthy again…” But the pap interrupt am with embrace, restoration, and celebration. Condemnation
for keep am for pigsty. Love bring am home.
Condemnation dangerous
because e dey twist identity. E dey make believer think say dem be their worst
mistake instead of Christ finished work. E dey silence prayer, weaken
confidence, and steal joy. E dey make people feel like tolerated servants
instead of beloved sons and daughters.
Worse still, condemnation
dey blind believers to the power of the cross. If Jesus pay the full price,
then condemnation na illegal voice trespassing on redeemed territory. The enemy
know say e no fit remove your salvation, so e dey try remove your assurance.
But ways dey to
silence condemnation:
1. Stand on the Word! Jesus
defeat the accuser with Scripture (Matthew 4:1–11). When condemnation speak,
answer with truth:
– “I dey forgiven” (1 John
1:9)
– “I dey accepted in the
Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6)
– “The blood of Jesus
cleanses me” (Hebrews 9:14)
2. Remember the Cross! Condemnation
dey thrive where the cross dey forgotten. Every accusation lose power when you
look am through Calvary.
3. Waka in the Spirit! Romans
8:1 join freedom from condemnation with walking in the Spirit. The more you
yield to the Spirit, the quieter the enemy voice go be.
4. Stay in community! Isolation
dey amplify condemnation. God dey use fellowship, encouragement, and
accountability to break shame grip.
Remember, condemnation na
voice wey God no send.
